It's the only LI series I properly watched due to FOMO I haven't watched it since!

Pete must be getting good votes to beat Montell who was several places above him. If it holds up he could make the final but am not sure if he could get enough votes to win.

The judges and producers won't want him in the final so he will be bottom of the leader board every week now and will be gone for sure if he is in the DO even if the other couple make mistakes as they will save the one with the technical ability and the more complex choreography.

I doubt it will happen.
I put this on the spoilers thread as an example but it stands.
Pete would need to be the top of the public vote at the later stages to survive unless the judges just give everyone the same marks.

Semis example: Tasha is top of leader board but lowest public vote. Pete is bottom of leaderboard but has the second highest public vote.
Pete would still be in a DO with JB and would probably go out.
Tasha 5 + 1 = 6
Sarah 4 + 3 = 7
JB 3 + 2 = 5
Chris 2 + 5 = 7
Pete 1 + 4 = 5
Let's take that example again but have Pete have the biggest support (so swap Pete and Chris)
Tasha 5 + 1 = 6
Sarah 4 + 3 = 7
JB 3 + 2 = 5
Chris 2 + 4 = 6
Pete 1 + 5 = 6
In this scenario, Pete AND Chris would stay as you have three on a tie but the ones with the most public support go through.
Tash would be in a DO with JB and JB would probably go out.

I liked Wynne his speech was lovely …Pete is a worse dancer than him but never in the DO. Montell is not popular with public bit like Shayne

Well, you had Chris Hollins and Darren Gough win.
Arguably, Mark Wright, Jamie Laing and Gemma Atkinson weren't nailed-on finalists.
But many "people's champions" (Ed Balls/Susan Calman/Lisa Riley etc) have gone by the wayside at the later stages.
Joe Sugg and Hamza never did a DO - the latter won despite a dodgy freestyle, the former didn't.

I think Pete may well make it to the final but even being popular won't save him if he's not the most popular celebrity and is at the bottom of the leaderboard and I don't think he is the most popular. That would be Chris.

I thought he went backwards on Saturday night. It was an awful dance and as I said last night I've seen better cha cha chas in week one. Maybe blame the choreography or maybe the choreography was so basic because he can't do more well.

The judges made the right decision. Montell was much better than the first time. Wynne upped his game too but he made more mistakes, especially at the beginning. If he hadn't gone this week he'd probably have gone next week and I'm grateful that MoJo are still in the show. I think she's a good dancer with a lovely personality.

If he does make it to the final, the judges could say they want to see this one again - so we might not have sen the last of the latex...

I don't either but I think he suffered badly from 'handsgate' because I think some people decided he was some kind of sex pest, which was unfair. I also think viewers didn't take to him as a portly, balding, older man. He lost so much weight during the series!

He applied himself to that dance with enthusiasm, and he did some good lifts! I'd have been terrified to be Katya but she clearly trusted him to do it.

I noticed that they did their 'not high five' at the end!

The only bona fide cast iron duffer to make the final was Christopher Parker in series 1. Julian Clary made the final as a comedy act but he was a competent enough dancer by the standards of the series.
