Starts Monday 11th November on Paramount+

Anyone want to join me in a watch thread as we head into the second part of S5? I’m like 7 year old me on Xmas eve waiting for my new Rip fix 😂

How will John Dutton be written out? Any theories?

I think Jamie will get sucked in to what Sarah set up, because she was on her phone to him, her DNA is on the glass she used, and the remains of the phone are in his kitchen bin.
The police will know she was on the phone to Jamie, and it will all lead from there.

I thought Kayce pulled an absolute blinder with the ME!

Oooh good theory!
I do hope the ranch gets saved.
loving Lynelle and Clara, I think they both had Johns back and will hopefully help with the ranch.
Jamie, I’d love to see imprisoned or taken to the train station, only after a scuffle with rip and Kasey though. surely Beth will tell rip about the baby situation?

in the trailer there was a scene with the natives clearly entering some battle, will it be the oil pipe or the ranch they are fighting for?

Where did you see a trailer?

@Netaporter

I can't even remember what the 6666 story is or why they went! It doesn't add up that Rip was around at the ranch when John died he should've still be in Texas?

The buffalo had Brucellosis, and if any of the cattle tested positive the whole herd would be destroyed, at very little compensation, so they moved the cattle to a better, milder climate (in Texas)

Myattention · 25/11/2024 20:06

I’m flipping exhausted. The kids get flung a beige tea as soon as I am over the door on a Monday. They then get a do not disturb for 2 hours so I can watch Yellowstone and straight into Lioness. Brilliant viewing. Gripping!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/11/2024 20:08

That's right! Thanks @Feministwoman

Feministwoman · 25/11/2024 20:08

I've found the trailer!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/11/2024 20:09

There was a trailer on YouTube

Feministwoman · 25/11/2024 20:09

In the trailer it appears Jamie is being led off by the FBI. Good.

Glad you found it!

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 25/11/2024 21:13

Are there really only 3 left? (Sob)

Netaporter · 25/11/2024 21:21

Ooh can we have a link to the trailer?

OP posts:

Sorry, wrong link

Netaporter · 25/11/2024 22:45

Now I 🤔 no it's the other way - he's going with the 'officials' to show them who to arrest.

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 26/11/2024 08:46

Loved this episode, people starting to get their comeuppance.😈

Jamie really is a very unappealing character.

Oh, you could be right.

It was interesting to see Chief Rainwater coming to see Beth. If you’ve seen 1883, the chief told James Dutton that they’d have their land back in seven generations and Tate is the seventh generation. I hope they manage to get it back.

Yes, I wondered if that was what the blood brother oath was about!

bluelightinsky · 30/11/2024 23:59

I don't know anyone else who feels a bit sorry for Jamie. When I saw the back story of him and Beth (when he took her to the clinic as a teenager) I thought he was trying to help her. He didn't know what to do, as only a kid himself and he got it wrong.

But her fury at him was not warranted in my opinion. He is just a weak man who wanted his father's approval and is easily led by others.

Of course, he's moved it up a notch now.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/12/2024 12:08

Yeah I see Jamie as a weak man, a lost soul, the fact that he's adopted as well and was sent away to college not trained up as a rancher cements him as having never belonged. He is however up to his neck in the death of John and so deserves it from that angle

WinWhenTheyreSinging · 01/12/2024 17:01

It’s a shame that Jamie was unaware he was adopted and found out as a shock. That obviously won’t have helped his feeling of ‘otherness’. But yes, a weak man - and easy to blame the girlfriend for this one, but of course Jamie has murdered at least two people himself.

Patienceinshortsupply · 01/12/2024 17:13

It's been some amazing script writing this latter half of the season, I was gripped by this last episode. I think they'll head to a spin off for Rip and Beth - she'll set another ranch up away from Yellowstone, maybe Texas? And the remaining ranch will go back to Tate (Kayce will decline it) and the natives in some way shape or form.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 01/12/2024 17:19

Cole Hauser is in a legal dispute with Taylor Sheridan so maybe no to a Rip spinoff even though that's what people want.

It's over two rival brands of coffee that are similarly packaged!
