I don’t usually watch this program on channel four but put it on by accident and have just watched the second part on More four on demand .I just have some thoughts on it and if any one has watched it please discuss with me here especially if you have watched both. It is the one about the murder of Eliza.

I think he had 36k or something

Tbh i hate drugs gangs but this man wasn't so bad, just an illegal and deluded businessman

So glad nettie and Tracey didn't go to prison though 🥺

I understood it to be an estimate of £1m street value cannabis ( quantity plus quality) plus £35k in cash - there were wads of it.

He was very polite, though I think his demeanour was a bit of a mask - very manipulative.

One unanswered question for me was how he came in contact with, and recruited, a craft club, active in her community, volunteer with no previous or other apparent links to criminality - who then went on to recruit her friend.

I wonder if he just used Facebook to dm people

PositivityVibes · 21/01/2025 19:20

Shocked he only got 2 years and a job offer.

He was either a good actor or a genuinely 'nice lad' but nice lads don't get into drug supply. Even if you're a pharmaceutical consultant, which made me lol.

So many unanswered questions though. Loved that Nettie wanted to plan a sting.

TeachesOfPeaches · 21/01/2025 19:27

I heard a piece on this on the radio the other day, wonder if this is the kind of cannabis trade that junior was involved in hence the leniancy www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c93lq2lvvgeo.amp

Halsall · 21/01/2025 20:46

Just watching now. Tracey’s ….got a good poker-face, let’s say. On reflection. 😂

Motnight · 21/01/2025 20:48

JemimaTab · 15/01/2025 12:23

That's him alright.

Toby is the nurse that keeps on giving 😬

BiscuitlyBoyle · 21/01/2025 21:28

I felt so sorry for the two women. They really didn’t seem to understand the implications of what was happening. Junior seemed as smiles and good looks but he repeatedly took advantage of two vulnerable women.

1AngelicFruitCake · 21/01/2025 21:35

I did smile when they said to the Second Lady 'white British' and cut to her overly tanned face!

Toddlerteaplease · 21/01/2025 21:37

I'm not convinced by Tracey's vulnerability or her supposed lack of knowledge, of what was actually happening.

JemimaTab · 21/01/2025 21:39

I did think Netty seemed to be clueless as to what she was getting into - and I guess that was reflected in her verdict.
I did wonder how Junior got to know these two ladies though.

JemimaTab · 21/01/2025 21:43

Tracey seemed a bit more hard-faced to me. She was quite defensive, obstructive even, in her first interview, whereas Netty was very open.
This was an interesting one.

BiscuitlyBoyle · 21/01/2025 22:05

Netty was completely clueless. I think Tracey had more of an idea what was going on, but not completely.

purpleme12 · 21/01/2025 22:25

Wow I'm only 5 minutes in and this is really different

Yes, my take was that Tracey knew it was dodgy (which is why she was being evasive), but not exactly how dodgy or why. Whereas Netty just thought it was a way to make some easy money - plus I imagine she was quite easily led.

Hels20 · 21/01/2025 23:11

I was pleased that Netty got a conditional discharge. She was totally clueless - but was very transparent. She could easily have been cuckooed.

healthybychristmas · 21/01/2025 23:20

But Tracy had told Nettie that it was drugs. She knew perfectly well what was going on. I am glad the women didn't go to prison but I think they should've both had suspended sentences. I thought the prison sentence for the young man was absolutely ridiculous.

Just watched it! I loved the footnote that a venture capitalist offered him a job!

Toddlerteaplease · 22/01/2025 07:51

I didn't think he was a pharmaceutical consultant. The card was to say that he needed the drugs for medical reasons.

I don’t know about sentencing. What does a suspended sentence mean?

Weepixie · 22/01/2025 07:59

That was a very different episode tonight and i found it funny. Even the police officers seemed to be enjoying themselves. I’m going to watch it again.

@PromoJoJo one of the women appeared to have Down Syndrome which was referred to as a learning disability in the episode and I believe she was vulnerable to the approach by her friend who I suspect had way more street smarts than met the eye.

I was willing to believe that Nettie was quite gullible and trusting, given her learning difficulties. But Tracey was a piece of work imho. How did she get mixed up with the ultra-charming 'Junior' in the first place? I’d love to know. The messages between them were pretty businesslike and to the point. There’s a lot more than meets the eye to that story, I bet. And the entire street knowing about her constant parcel deliveries?! How many were there? It sounds like a constant stream!

Had to laugh when she 'broke down' and claimed 'I can’t take much more of this'. In other words, oh shit, I can’t explain my way out of this one 😂

All of this. Tracey was in the sun, with her nails done, living it up. She then managed to get herself back when needed. The whole street knowing was interesting, I think those parcels were turning up more than ‘every other month’. Tracey was devious in getting that sentence.

RosieBurdock · 22/01/2025 14:14

£100 doesn't seem much for taking in each parcel of drugs. You'd think if you were having drugs delivered you'd try and be in rather than let them be delivered to the neighbours
