I don’t usually watch this program on channel four but put it on by accident and have just watched the second part on More four on demand .I just have some thoughts on it and if any one has watched it please discuss with me here especially if you have watched both. It is the one about the murder of Eliza.

Just watching last nights now. I'm surprised they filmed her mum being told of her daughter's death.

As they have no idea how someone would take the news officers turn on their bodyworn cameras, they don’t turn up with a camera crew.

They all seemed pretty sad and odd to me. Her mother must have known what she was up to. Her friend described having to take his shoes off, because she was house proud. I didn't see any sign of that! A depressing watch, but also compulsive.

I thought that as well.

purpleme12 · 15/09/2024 13:29

The pictures at the end where they said the people who had died 😢

Indeed. Bibby is a well known name in the Wisbech area.

He seemed pretty genuine when he was being interviewed saying 'this isn't me, I don't do things like this'. I was thinking the Police had got the wrong man again? He seemed calm, eloquent and as he said, never been violent before. It's so sad, if he hadn't have had that accident, he wouldn't have got addicted to pain killers etc etc. Just a very sad case all round really, as PP have said, it didn't put Wisbech in a good light. I wonder if Jack is still there?

I didn't find him genuine at all, he seemed very calculating, a good liar and very devious.

The lawyer who got him off the modern slavery charges. Who drives round living Gangsta Life on Gangsta Money by representing them in court

He was a weird one wasn't he. When he said 'Were you rude to his mum?" in an antagonist way to the policeman, I thought he was really unprofessional.

RosieBurdock · 05/12/2024 09:08

I wonder if he tries to fit in with/suck up to whoever he represents so would be different with a different client. I got that impression

FastFood · 05/12/2024 19:57

I wanna buy a recliner chair to that poor Alan now, poor old lad...

Hels20 · 06/01/2025 07:40

For those that like this show - Channel 4 also has two other excellent shows. I just binge watched “Merseyside Detectives” - horrific stabbing of a 21 year old boy. They also covered (at the same time) the Ashley Dale and Olivia Korbel-Pratt murders exceptionally well. Aired in September 2024. I had no idea that that scum cashman was arrested and then released….

Toddlerteaplease · 06/01/2025 09:11

There was one on U last night as well that was very interesting.

Hallelujah2020 · 06/01/2025 13:33

A new one tonight and next Monday

And a new series called Manhunt a week tomorrow

Hels20 · 06/01/2025 18:28

Thanks for the heads up @Hallelujah2020 .

@Toddlerteaplease - what was the one you watched last night?

usernother · 06/01/2025 20:49

Tonight's is a repeat. Can recommend if you haven't seen it.

Toddlerteaplease · 06/01/2025 20:59

The episode announced is not the one on the TV guides.

purpleme12 · 06/01/2025 21:05

It doesn't look like a repeat to me

And it's the episode that's in the radio times website

As I'm realising watching it. Not a repeat after all!

usernother · 06/01/2025 21:07

On the Virgin TV Guide it said it was about the Murder of Rikki Neave from 2022.

Same on my guide

Toddlerteaplease · 06/01/2025 21:44

This one isn't particularly interesting. I'm going to bed!

BiscuitlyBoyle · 06/01/2025 21:49

It’s about a break out from the Yarl’s Wood detention centre. Interesting but not ‘classic’ 24H

purpleme12 · 06/01/2025 21:56

£70,000 in cash! 😮

Turmerictolly · 06/01/2025 23:43

I found it interesting still but scary how these criminal gangs can operate so easily. Hope they were all deported after their sentences finished.
