The new trailer ( gives a fresh look at the show's returning characters, including new PSNI recruits Grace (Siân Brooke), Annie (Katherine Devlin) and Tommy (Nathan Braniff), alongside Stevie (Martin McCann), Helen (Joanne Crawford) and Sandra (Andi Osho).

Fans also get a glimpse of new characters for season two, including new Constable Shane (Frank Blake) and siblings Lee (Seamus O'Hara) and Mags (Seána Kerslake).

The new episodes will follow Grace, Annie and Tommy a year after the events of the last season, with the officers faced with a gangland feud that culminates in a "violent and devastating confrontation".
"Tensions are high," Helen says in the trailer. "We're policing an area that could explode at a
ny minute, and we're flying completely blind."

When I was a kid in the late 70s and 80s, my NI relatives used to frequently mention the Sneaky Beakies and I hadn’t a clue what they were on about. Thanks to Blue Lights, I am now less clueless 😂 Roll on Series 3…wish they did longer series though!

Love it too..any idea when series 3 arrives. I watched series 2 ages ago but no idea where and when!

You'd think it would be soon as they're doing trailers urging people to watch the first two series on iplayer so they'll be ready for Series 3, but I haven't seen any date confirmed for when it will be shown. Sooner rather than later, I hope!

(Also seen a statement that series 4 was commissioned at the same time as series 3. Hope that's correct!)
