Can I say, I know there’s still 4 episodes left but the Ross Diane combo has had no impact on the game whatsoever.

Other than the jaw dropping moment when we found out, it really hasn’t mattered at all, from the producers perspective it seems pointless so have chosen them.

I thought the same when Diane revealed in Uncloaked that they weren’t going to mention it. What’s the point then? They weren’t working together as a sub team.

Riverlee · 19/01/2024 12:41

@NonPlayerCharacter i’d forgotten about the lad who fancied Alex. That was quite painful to watch.

Capachoochoo · 19/01/2024 12:42

Unless it's going to be a random question from Claudia for one of the missions - which 2 players are related to each other or something more pointed actually mentioning Diane?

FiveFoxes · 19/01/2024 12:43

Regarding the Harry speech at the Round Table and editing...

He must have stood out as having brought Paul down, hence the adoration of him afterwards. It can't have been only edited to look like Harry said more than others, he must have actually said more.

Therefore there are definitely clues for the more astute faithfuls (or Fatefuls as Harry pronounces it!). Jaz, Zach, maybe some of the women...

Riverlee · 19/01/2024 12:45

It’ll be interesting tonight without Paul as he was the alpha male in the pack. Who’s going to be Queen (or King) bee now?

Who will dare to speak at the Round table first, because they usually influence how the voting goes? Harry needs to lie low now.

MaggieFS · 19/01/2024 12:49

I think Diana Ross are wise not to reveal their relationship. It could get viewed either way, and potentially be unhelpful.

They didn't obviously work as a sub team, but I think had push come to shove, they would have tried to prevent the other from being banished, and they could have worked better later on.

For example, had they both got to the final round, and let's say Diane and one other traitor was present. Ross might vote to end it. Diane could vote to banish again and Ross should go along with whomever she said.

There's a lot of what ifs but it could have been handy.

Definitely better no one else knowing though.

Harry needs to lie low now.
Definitely

I wonder why Paul didn't come back at Harry more. He kind of knew the game was up for him but I thought he might have tried to bring Harry down with him - eg, ask how Harry had it all figured out/you seem to know quite a lot etc- just sow those seeds...

I can't see how anyone would think Ross is a traitor now. Only someone who was truly clueless would have stuck up for Paul so adamantly.

The difference between the banishments of Miles and Paul is that Miles knew ahead of time that Paul had turned on him (he overheard him talking from outside a room). That gave him a chance to prepare his counterattack. In contrast, Paul looked totally blindsided by Harry’s betrayal, and may not have been able to gather his thoughts quickly enough.

museumum · 19/01/2024 13:05

I think Charlotte and Evie are a lot brighter than they're getting credit for. I think Charlotte really liked Paul and felt he was her bestie in there but still saw it had to be him, Evie has had him in her sights since the dungeon. Evie, Molly and to some extent Charlie are just a lot more careful about saying what they think out loud and especially at the round table. Wise i think.

museumum · 19/01/2024 13:07

Harry really needs to shut up now.

Ross and Diane promised not to say anything at any point but I think without Diane there to rein him in Ross might be tempted - e.g. the wink (which fair enough, was funny).

Just had another thought..... About Claudia s question around who would Tracey leave her worldly goods to. Has Tracey a daughter in the game? One of the blondes???

I think they'd have told us by now if so. And if that daughter was in the game still, she would have known not to let Diane take the spot.

Unless she’s doing a Ross and trying to keep it secret

Ooh I like this idea!

It was such an odd question, but perhaps it had been a throwaway comment during a conversation that just didn't register? There must have been a factual answer.

placemats · 19/01/2024 13:26

Evie could be Tracy's relative. Both are from Inverness.

MaggieFS · 19/01/2024 13:31

May be that's why Evie didn't say much at first and may be it's why she's half brushed, because IT'S A WIG to hide that she has the same ears as Tracy.

(I'm joking now. I think)

They emphasised the Charlie v Mollie shield thing because it means Charlie will almost certainly now be murdered

I agree. Also, I think Mollie will feel very guilty if Charlie is murdered.

Borris · 19/01/2024 13:37

Andrew needs to bring up that he was in the dungeon with 2 known traitors - ash and Paul - and there's no way that 3 traitors would have gone down there together!

That won’t help him, though, as they’ve worked out the traitors have recruited

CaveMum · 19/01/2024 13:48

I wonder if they’re going to have a “confessional” type task where Ross might feel pressured to reveal that Diane is(was?!) his mum. The producers aren’t going to have allowed them both in without the possibility of revealing it. It’s the perfect way to sow distrust - he lied about that, what else is he lying about?

periodiclabel · 19/01/2024 13:53

To whoever tipped us off threads back about Aus Traitors Season 2 - just to say, not a patch on this one but still VERY entertaining with a fabulous final episode and some great traitors and particularly "dumb dumb" as they put it faithfuls.

NameChangePlease4 · 19/01/2024 14:04

I'm finally all caught up so can join the thread! I'm excited as noone I know watches it.

Definitely agree the "worldly goods" thing must mean Evie is Tracey's daughter! As there were only three not in the carriage yet, and Diane was the wrong answer. So it only leaves Paul or Evie.

Evie is a good liar saying "oh if she means her crystals and stuff, that's not me".

Interesting how they never questioned back to what the right answer was.

MajesticWhine · 19/01/2024 14:12

Good thinking team. It would be an odd question to ask if there wasn't something behind it.

RonSwansonsChair · 19/01/2024 14:14

Back a little to the funeral episode; when Jaz picked Evie & gave her the flower he said something like..... I don't think it's Evie but I'm picking her to throw others off the scent.... (I'm probably paraphrasing badly) - so from then on he's picked random people (it seemed so to me), hence no-one understanding & questioning his votes. Andrew made no sense last night, and I don't think he explained why he chose him.
