I grew up watching it in the 90s on a Saturday night. I didn't see the sky(?) remake as I don't think we had sky at the time, however this time it looks like they are keeping some of the original events

My favourites used to be Lightning and Wolf. I also used to want to be on it and do the eliminator. No chance of my lardy self making it round it now!

Apollo is also very nice to look at

I like nitro, love watching his big bouncing pecs! My faves are Giant and Bionic though (size queen)! Wow don't those big hunky guys look so good doing battle in those shiny lycra cozzies! Diamond is the best female imo though have to say I'd find her intimidating if I was stood looking up at her! Loved the original show when I was younger than the glads. Loved the Sky version(especially Goliath) and I'm loving this series albeit now I'm comfortably more senior in age to the current day glads! lol :)

Love the show to bits after being an avid fan of both the original 90s and Sky versions. We've been deprived of those massive hunks in lycra for far too many years! lol. Not a fan of the Walsh presenters though, totally the wrong choice and should be female representation presenting in my view. Kudos to Kate Phillips at the BBC for achieving her long time aspiration to bring back our mighty glads! :)

I couldn't warm to Betti, don't know why! Good winners this week. But what happened to Sabre, where did the injury come from? Did she go faint?

She appeared to have torn a muscle in her leg,, That's as much as I could tell from what was shown to us. No doubt she'll be back for the next series.. :)

We didn't warm to Betty in our house either.
The way she just bent down and didn't even try to fight in Duel both times absolutely enraged my dd 🤣
We were cheering when she got disqualified.

I didn’t care for Betti either. She rubbed me up the wrong way from the start. I usually find something to like about them all, but she was pushing my limits 😂

Apparently Sabre tore her hamstring and won’t be back for the last 2 episodes, which is sad.

We didn't like Betti either! When she was in on Saturday my daughter was enraged "she lost last week, WHY IS SHE BACK AGAIN"
TBF she did really well and I'm sure she's a lovely person. Just not a fan favourite in this house.

Anyone else really miss the show last Saturday? Who will really miss the show when it finishes after next Sat? I'm defo in that camp, been a fan since the 90s and loved the Sky version too.(especially Goliath)! lol :)
Tonight's episode sounds really exciting with the pretext that Giant will have his toughest battle in Duel to date! I so have to see that!

Wesley is in the final when he didn't qualify for a quarter final, had points thrown at him (why did he earn any points from Finlay being unable to do an event due to injury?) and is a semi-professional wrestler.

I appreciate that sometimes things are rigged but haven't seem such blatant rigging for some time. I just fail to see the appeal of Wesley.

Gutted by tonight’s episode. Chung is an epic competitor and I really think he would probably have won the final.
Poor Kerry, she was absolutely amazing all the way through and I can’t believe she hasn’t made it to the final.

My 5 year old keeps saying, I really hope Betti isn't coming back!

Poor Chung, I bet he would have won too. My kids favourites were the first Finlay and Chung who are both now injured so they weren't pleased.

I don't understand Wesley either - did they explain how he was selected when he appeared in his quarter-final? Think I must have missed that episode!

Gutted for Kerry too but I do like Marie Louise!

They never explained it! He just appeared. I don't understand why they didn't use one of the fastest losers. They can't ALL have been unavailable.

Gutted for Kerry. I do like M-L. Although I think she has been for a Ross-style spray tan 😂

Felt like Matt let Wesley win the Eliminator...

I thought Matt paused a long time before doing the travalator to let Wesley go. But I’d have been gutted if Matt had won really. I like Wesley. I liked Betty too.
