I know fron the last series that many think this is a series that should have quietly been taken of air years ago.

But the telly addicts thread last time was so funny that it made it worth watching just to be able to join in the comments.

As our two lead characters have zero chemistry and barely speak, and they rarely do any actual pathology, one can only speculate what even more far fetched adventure they will get up to this series.

Not forgetting each more implausible fashion get up Nikki will be wearing to work each episode.

She has great hair.
They have zilch chemistry...still...

It was when Jack suggested a holiday last night. He's suggested that at least once before. We all know she's not going take two weeks off work and go anywhere with him

BotterMon · 09/01/2024 21:01

Here we go - upsetting scenes again apparently.....

I want to know more about Mia's husband - he sounds a bit weird.

CharmedCult · 09/01/2024 21:09

How are so many random people able to just walk straight into a forensic pathology lab?

Wolfcub · 09/01/2024 21:09

John Hannah clearly a bad un. They don't put good actors in this unless they're the murderer

Wolfcub · 09/01/2024 21:11

Fml swabbing a 20 year old outdoor dna sample that's been in the elements for 20 years and you have no idea when the dna was deposited. Who researches this

I was thinking that

Also how did the DCI know it was Beck's sail when it was so tightly wrapped around the body and from a fair distance. All sails look the same from where she was standing

Dahliasrule · 09/01/2024 21:17

Aglets, it’s known as stunningly witless here!

How are so many random people able to just walk straight into a forensic pathology lab?

Especially when Nicky was nearly killed in there her self. You think they would have tightened security and cracked down on lone working

Wolfcub · 09/01/2024 21:23

So we are shocked at dna stored in a bag that's 29 years old but dna outside is ok. Seriously someone needs to get a grip of their editing

I’ve worked on locked hospital wards (maternity and psychiatry) where if a random stranger managed to get in there’d be an incident report and investigation, etc.

But seemingly anyone can walk into this forensic pathology lab, who are dealing with bodies and dna in murder investigations, where evidence is openly left up on computer screens and on people’s desks, and nobody bats an eyelid.

Wolfcub · 09/01/2024 21:26

That access problem would surely be grounds for appeal - anyone could have planted my epithelials on that body your honour

Yes everytime she said Anton says this and Anton says that all I could think was Anton sounds like a controlling twat.

I’ve just finished watching the second episode on iplayer. I take back what I said about it not being silly enough.

Yup absolutely ridiculous

CrushingOnRubies · 09/01/2024 21:53

Omfg! This is silly and scary at the same time

CharmedCult · 09/01/2024 21:55

What a load of bollocks.

TitsInAbsentia · 09/01/2024 21:58

We're a bit behind but....she's not is she? Oh she bloody is...what a tit...

She is a tit... she never learns

Iamacatslave · 09/01/2024 22:01

Silent shitness in our house.

savethatkitty · 09/01/2024 22:03

Silent Witness went downhill when Amanda Burton left the series.

Jacopo · 09/01/2024 22:03

Well I’ve just watched both episodes and I wish I hadn’t bothered. What a load of rubbish!

eish · 09/01/2024 22:32

It is rubbish. Why do I continue to watch.

On the Trevor Eve front (someone mentioned him up thread), he was our neighbour when I was growing up. I’d completely forgotten until you mentioned his name!

LittleMonks11 · 09/01/2024 23:02

Did she get a choppy bob partway through ep 2 tonight? I'm obsessed with her hair.

I enjoyed the amdram plot twists though.

Why is the goody in this type of programme unfailingly compelled to enter an isolated, dark, cobwebbed building with lots of corners for people to hide behind, alone, in the search for someone dodgy enough to make you think twice about accepting a drink off them at a party?
