That nice Sgt Mackie, (who's been in loads of things) I only found out today, is Mr Lesley Sharp.

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 14/02/2024 22:29

I wonder if there'll be a second series. They've left on a bit of "what will she say" like there could be.

Jennalong · 14/02/2024 22:38

Yes it's been left very open ended , bit disappointing tbh .

duc748 · 14/02/2024 22:47

So often finales are a big disappointment, but actually, I thought this was probably the best episode of the series.

TheWeeDonkeyFella · 15/02/2024 10:28

They need Ted Hastings in to sort out that nick!

butterpuffed · 15/02/2024 12:28

Blimey they're all baddies ! The last episode was really good, and full of action .

There's bound to be a second series as they more or less left it on a cliffhanger , let's hope we don't have to wait too long .

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2024 22:19

Yes all are badies

I had hoped dh pat was undercover

But nope. A baddie

As was her dad who she looked up to

My dh was chuffed he said her dh was a wrong un. Well done mr blondes 😂

I won't tell him that obviously

I think it leaves scope for s2

Lots of loose ends

Still not sure how red car got removed and not seen or just pure luck

Glad wasn't Lee who killed Daniel but he did shove him in the lift and kill Chris the caretaker

But lee did save the baby so he wasn't all bad !!!

Mackie killed Daniel and also tried to kill /hit and run her mum

So we know the £100k is in the shed /duffel bag that Tasha took and gave to blond girlfriend

But rest don't know where the money went

Tech if Daniel hasnt of stolen the money he could have given to jack and made £20k a month later

So as he stole the money and refused jacks offer he died

Almost fate .....

Indeed @TheWeeDonkeyFella

Presumably Tasha and the blind lady/son got off with the cash? And the second flood never really happened. Did dodgy councillor stand down as candidate? Seemed as if no-one got their comeuppance.

Paul2023 · 15/02/2024 22:38

Not sure how Jo could spill the beans on everyone though without getting into trouble herself..her husband would definitely go to prison even if she didn’t.

duc748 · 16/02/2024 00:25

She won't say nuffinck when she goes in to see the big boss, though, will she? And Pat will keep his job, and there'll be an uneasy tension between them in the next season.

Samcro · 16/02/2024 08:00

enjoyed it. liked that the last thing Lee/robin of sherwood did was save another baby.
just wish these things had proper endings.

I thought we were meant to assume they were going to the boss to confess all? Maybe not.

Also I really didn't like the husband. Even at the end he just said he'd do whatever she wanted. So spineless.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2024 14:07

He was a wimp

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2024 14:07

Guess we will see where s2 takes us as sure will be one

diddl · 21/02/2024 20:17

I hated the husband all the way through!

I suppose when he said he couldn't help helping his sister out it was more about keeping Keith onside?

Couldn't help thinking if Jo was such a good detective how come she couldn't see what a shit her husband was?

I don't think she had any evidence of anything did she?

Or nothing she could use due to not following procedure?

When she asked her husband how much he would make from the insurance scam & he said 3 or 4K I thought was that all?

purpleme12 · 21/02/2024 20:25

I don't think he was spineless at the end. I think he knew he'd done wrong and was trying to make it up to her so would go with what she wanted to try make things up to her

diddl · 21/02/2024 20:36

Would another series work?

Probably wouldn't mind watching Jo elsewhere trying to get on with her career.

It's so disappointing when it's police corruption though & it's about money!

FionnulaTheCooler · 22/02/2024 07:52

Just finished the series last night. I thought it was asking a bit much to believe that she gave birth after a whole 5 minutes of labour and that a baby who was born 8(?) weeks early was big and healthy and seemingly needed no medical intervention, time in an incubator etc.

whenemmafallsinlove · 23/02/2024 09:42

Yes that was ridiculous. And she managed to successfully deliver her baby without apparently any major bleeding despite going in to traumatic labour post car accident.
Almost as ridiculous as philip glenister holding back the apocalypse flood with 20 sandbags.
And the sun shining whilst the apocalypse dawned (or didn't)
Presumably they spent all the budget on the flood in the first episode.
I thought it had really good potential but the ending was absurd.

I agree, send in Ted Hastings and crew!

I was trying to work out how many crimes had actually been committed?

Murder x 2
Conspiracy after the event x about 10000
Concealing a body and/or failure to report a death
Sone sort of misuse of office for the councillor also x about 10000
The dna offence
Bribery x about 10000
Theft ditto
Insurance fraud
Living off the proceeds of crime (everybody)
Dangerous driving x 2
Conspiracy to pervert the course of justice (continuous)

This would be a Mother of God moment for Ted alright

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2024 14:59

Mother of god. I miss Ted

I did think that.

But did appreciate she took her trousers off before giving birth. Often overlooked on tv births!
