I have peeped at Kanga's thread too!

my lips are sealed!

MummyPenguin · 27/04/2008 17:07

Oh God, why do people start these "if you want to know who's out" threads?? It's just too tempting. I've managed to refrain.

I also thought Niamh wasn't that good last night, however, Valerie is not an easy song to sing. If it was Niamh's choice, it probably wasn't her wisest. Did anyone else notice that she fluffed the lyrics too? She repeated the "did you get a good lawyer?" line. However, I don't think she did a bad job. I thought it was unfair of the jusdges to say to Rachel "you really told the story in your song" and then to Niamh "you didn't." They are two completely different songs, and Rachel's was easier to 'story tell' with.

I think Sarah's dress would be gorgeous if it were longer. It was a lovely dress but the length was all wrong.

theheadgirl · 27/04/2008 17:34

Yes MP I noticed the lyric cock up with Niamh. Cos I was singing along
My fave last night was Samantha. And Ashley should prob go.

slayerette · 27/04/2008 18:36

Have really gone off Jessie. This is what worries me about getting tickets before knowing who it'll be. I have the same problem as the panel do with the way she stands, and ever since someone (on this thread I think ) pointed out the odd way she seems to sneer, I'm fixated by it. And now Francesca's gone (she had a very odd mouth), I'm even more fixated by Jessie's strange expression and posture!

At the moment, I could watch Samantha most comfortably although Niamh really has something as well...

RTKangaMummy · 27/04/2008 18:47

NANCY has been chosen to play on TUES and Weds already as understudy iirc

RTKangaMummy · 27/04/2008 18:47

or it could be tues and thurs or monday

sorry having a dim moment here

I have forgotten the night s

RTKangaMummy · 27/04/2008 18:50

actually forget it

Sallyre · 27/04/2008 19:49

I don't know why but I always get a bit tearful when the Olivers sing....last week more than Can You Feel the Love....but they're still gorgeous!! Awww.....

DrNortherner · 27/04/2008 20:06

Did you see ALW storm off after the result show? He was not happy. He hates Ashley I reckon but the public keep making her safe, mind you he saved her last week over Francesca didn't he?

I like Jodie and Sarah.

Jessie is like elvis.

Clementine1 · 27/04/2008 20:33

Come on Jessie don't mind what they are saying about you.

MargaretMountford · 27/04/2008 21:38

gosh, he was cross about that, wasn't he...

PotPourri · 27/04/2008 21:52

Ashley should have gone. She is really not that good. Clearly a lovely girl from the activities etc, but she just isn't a leading lady. I like Samantha best I think.

Rachmumoftwo · 27/04/2008 22:01

I thougt ALW ran off to be there for Keisha when she left the stage. He seemed very fond of her.

PotPourri · 27/04/2008 22:26

Bet he gives her a job in some other stage show. I thought she had a fab voice.

Did anyone else find it interesting that she didn't sing the 'as long as 'e neids meeeeiiii' in a cockney accent???

MargaretMountford · 27/04/2008 22:49

Keisha did the sing off best too,I thought

Chickenmamma · 28/04/2008 01:48

Keisha sang brilliantly. He should have got rid of Niamh IMO. This week she proved that she can't do much more than ballads. She's not suitable for the role

ipanemagirl · 28/04/2008 10:39

Ashley shouldabeen OUT she is atrocious - all that grinning at the camera like a maniac, she looks like central casting for Mrs de Winter in the bloody attic. Be gone - grinning hussy!

I loved ALW's hissy fit - that was grade a, first class, Luvvy-tastic heaven! These theatre types are hysterical. This is why I love this programme. ALW's facial expressions and spasms are so freakish that I love them. He is going to
ROAST Ashley alive next week, he is going to stand up with a massive Kalishnokov and say "B the public vote. You is fired!" Blast!!! He'd have my vote.

And Keisha, I have to hand it to her, she has been a great survivor and belts them out at the end, but simplly not a good enough actress imo.

Niamh! I couldn't believe she was in the sing off! I love her! Valerie - terrible choice for her - all wrong. And it did show up her limitations. I still prefer her Samantha.

Rachel and Sarah are just so consistenly good and I can see either of them women. Sarah is an excellent actress.

Jessie, lost her confidence, is a bit of a sidey-face, but my ds worships the ground she walks on.

belgo · 28/04/2008 10:42

I couldn't understand a word of Niamh singing 'Valerie'.

Ashley was creepy. Keisha had improved a huge amount and I could see her as Nancy.

Jessie's movements were appalling - far worse then ever before.

I liked Rachel and Samantha.

ipanemagirl · 28/04/2008 10:42

Barry Humphries....... He is the Emperor of Perve.

ipanemagirl · 28/04/2008 10:43

I agree about wardrobe. Some of those frocks they put these women/girls in are absolutely vile!

EffiePerine · 28/04/2008 10:44

My long-term support for the shortarse is paying off

LOVE the idea of ALW mowing down Ashley next week

ipanemagirl · 28/04/2008 10:49

I agree, Sarah is a real surprise to me. She is properly overcoming serious objections to her suitability to the role, it's amazing. She just acts and sings her heart out with such conviction, I have to hand it to you. I didn't see that coming!

But ALW's control freakery is really showing isn't it? He doesn't like the public having power over him I suspect. He thinks they should vote where he leads doesn't he?

But the way for them to destroy Asnley is to give her an even more corpse-appropriate frock than last week (was that not a frock to be buried in?) and give her an abominable song to sing to lose her votes.

However I think the public smells underdog and is voting to rescue the fearsome dull voiced grinner!

EffiePerine · 28/04/2008 10:52

II think it's more that he is worried about getting someone who can't sing all that well ... I've noticed he's the only one who consistently picks up on musical issues.

I though Sarah had the best voice from the start and she has improved so much on the acting/attitude side . Not sure if she'll get all the way through, though. Rachel is a really strong performer (she's DH's favourite) and Samantha is good too.

belgo · 28/04/2008 10:54

Yes Sarah is very good, I just always forget about her.
