Just called, they do have some seats left but not the best seats and not many seats together but you can go on xmas eve and ny's eve if you only want a couple seats and don't mind restricted view!

belgo · 22/04/2008 12:55

I've just seen last saturday's and sunday's shows. It was a shame to see Francesca go, I thought she had a very nice voice, it's a shame she had pitching problems.

Ashley has made virtually no impression on me.

bluesky · 22/04/2008 14:50

RTkanga, they are in my knicker drawer!!

ipanemagirl · 22/04/2008 15:22

I've just bought tckts for ds and me in January for his birthday! He will burst with excitement.

MummyPenguin · 22/04/2008 18:29

Do you know what, I wouldn't want to buy tickets before I knew who the Nancy and Oliver were going to be. I'd be mightily pissed off if it was one of the contestants that I didn't like. Some of those Olivers, Chester hasn't got that great a voice imo, and his eyes dart about a lot although last week he wasn't doing it so much, so perhaps a word has been had. I definitely wouldn't want to see Gwion as Oliver, can't understand a bloody word he says. Unless he's very good at disguising his strong accent I just can't see how he'd work as Oliver. Kwayedza, sweet boy, but not Oliver, and Arthur, a bit bland. There are some boys who haven't been put through who would have been better imo. Does anyone know how many Olivers go through to the semi finals?

Having read some of the comments on here about Jodie, I'm beginning to see what some of you mean about her, perhaps she's a bit too much with the bubbliness etc. If she tones it down a bit, then I still think she'd be really good. I don't really know about her acting, I haven't really scrutinised that part of the programme, and I didn't watch the 'Maria' one with Connie, so can't compare it.

Chickenmamma · 22/04/2008 18:53

I agree about Jodie too. I find her a little bit OTT and corny - I'd prefer to see one of the other girls in the role.

I really like Sarah. She has a superb voice and a sense of vulnerability that I could empathise with. I think she could be feisty too. Her performances definately have power

I like Rachel too but agree that she's not that exciting yet

Niamh is charming but not right for Nancy. Her performances whilst lovely have no real gutsiness to them IMO

and Jessie is a bit too gawky on stage. I find her movements awkward

bluesky · 22/04/2008 19:07

it's such a huge show, over 100 involved, that I'm not bothered who gets picked, if it's one I'm not keen on it doesn't put me off. I'm going for the "whole show". And my boys can't wait to see Mr Bean!! It's a show with great ensemble numbers too.

ipanemagirl · 23/04/2008 10:02

I agree Blusky, I love the songs so much from my childhood also ds and I are so addicted jointly to the programme that I think we'll love it whoever wins!
I agree about chester!

ipanemagirl · 23/04/2008 10:05

Also Sarah is growing on me, she'd be a very young Nancy but she is a great all rounder and pro as well. Rachel doesn't quite have her charisma somehow but is also very professional.

Jessie is raw talent but has so many rough edges but she does look the part and with a lot of hard work could be great imo.

I would be happy to see Niamh as Nancy even if she's wrong for the part, I think she is so adorable and her voice so gorgeous.

MummyPenguin · 23/04/2008 10:08

And that's another thing, Rowan Atkinson as Fagin? WTF???

MargaretMountford · 23/04/2008 10:17

I think he'd be perfect !

bluesky · 23/04/2008 11:31

he's done it before, and he used to do much more stage before the world of Mr Bean took off, so he's really keen to get back into it ... apparently!

MargaretMountford · 26/04/2008 19:23

oh dear, I thought Niamh was not good just now - and sack the stylists - what are those dresses like ?

RTKangaMummy · 26/04/2008 19:26

Horrible dresses

I don't like listening when they do pop songs

MrsWeasley · 26/04/2008 20:24

Am I alone in comparing Jodie to Jane McDonald? I just cant see her as Nancy. In fact when she is on it is about the only time I shout at the TV. She just oozes Cruise Ship to me.

MrsWeasley · 26/04/2008 20:26

Oh for the record I have nothing against Jane Mcdonald I quite like her and find her very amusing on Loose Women

MargaretMountford · 26/04/2008 20:46

that's exactly spot on MrsWeasley !
Liked Samantha today and Sarah (except that her awful dress made her legs and arse look huge)

collision · 26/04/2008 20:46

Jodie is fab but they put her such horrendous dresses and she looks enormous!!

Sarah also has fat knees and they should cover those up too as she looks bigger than she is.

Ashley's dress was horrid too tho I liked her song.

Jodie or Sarah for me atm tho I need to watch Rachel on iplayer as I missed it earlier.

ellceeell · 26/04/2008 20:54

I think Ashley could be in the bottom two again - I really don't like those knowing looks to the camera.

Chickenmamma · 26/04/2008 21:12

Loved Sarah tonight again. Rachel was good too

Didn't like Niamh at all tonight and I agree about Jodie. I do find her a bit cruise ship too

mazzystar · 26/04/2008 21:18

The stylist needs to shop somewhere classier. Poor Sarah looked dreadful.

I love Niamh, I think she's a stunning talent, but she was weak tonight - not a good song for her.

Rachel's my favourite -and I think Samantha is stunning, but a bit too screechy tonight.

The stress was really showing on the rest of them - Keisha just looked desperate, she seemed so glorious and bold initially, Jessie too, she's lost all that freshness and quirkiness worrying about looking ladylike.

JulesJules · 27/04/2008 00:13

Tonights results are out on the Digital Spy forums if anyone else can't wait until Sunday night...

RosaLuxembourg · 27/04/2008 00:18

Don't put temptation in my way, like that! I must not look!

unknownrebelbang · 27/04/2008 00:19

Hehe, just had a peak.

Really dislike the split over two nights.

RosaLuxembourg · 27/04/2008 00:20

I hope it was Ashley.
