I'm not sure it'll reach the heights of the BBC ALW shows (I loved those!), but I'm going to give it a go.

Some Greek sunshine will also be nice now the evenings are getting darker!

Me!
I watched the Joseph and Oliver shows years ago and loved them.
So far it's not bad or anything but it's not quite giving me the same vibe as the others...

bizzey · 22/10/2023 18:23

I am here as well !
Be nice to have a thread to follow as well.

algasport · 22/10/2023 18:24

Me too! I love these programmes!

bizzey · 22/10/2023 18:25

I wish they had name badges on though !
I am going to get them all muddled up .

algasport · 22/10/2023 18:27

Worth watching for the scenery anyway

bizzey · 22/10/2023 18:27

Did the Joseph and Oliver programs show all this background training ?
I thought they just came out and sang

algasport · 22/10/2023 18:32

First two were great! Maddy and Stephanie?

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 22/10/2023 18:33

They used to do a task each week. Then footage of that was cut in between the live performances.

You didn't usually see much of them practising usually unless there was a particular reason (like one of the judges going in) as far as I can remember.

Planned to record this to watch later, but forgot. Will have to watch it on itv hub. 6pm is very early for this type of programme.

Loved the Joseph and Oliver of yesteryear. Saw Lee mead recently. He’s got a superb voice.

BusySittingDown · 22/10/2023 18:34

I'm watching, I love stuff like this!

purpleme12 · 22/10/2023 18:35

I like that it's on at 6pm
Means I can watch it with my child easily

I remember the Dorothy one they went to Dorothy Farm where they did singing, dancing and acting workshops. There were about 50 of them though and the judges whittled them down to the final lot and they went through to the live shows.

The BBC one used to colour code them!

Yes this is missing from this show

LIZS · 22/10/2023 18:38

Oh dear, not getting that these were the best of the auditionees, especially the guys.

How long ago was this filmed, has Samantha Barks not just had a baby?

BusySittingDown · 22/10/2023 18:39

It would be good if they colour coded them! Is it me or do most of the girls have names beginning with S?

algasport · 22/10/2023 18:39

Ooh boys high standard

algasport · 22/10/2023 18:43

Guessing these are all equity members so have plenty of experience

criminallyvulgar · 22/10/2023 18:43

Corfu is looking lovely.

LIZS · 22/10/2023 18:47

Pitchy

algasport · 22/10/2023 18:48

Not keen on Callum or Darcy. Wooden

Riverlee · 22/10/2023 18:49

I thought Darcy (?) - one in blue - acted that better.

criminallyvulgar · 22/10/2023 18:51

Worst so far. I liked Maddy in the first group.

Yes, I’m quite glad we didn’t hear the rest.

At least both parts are actually quite small!
