Mamma Mia: I Have a Dream — Anybody else watching?

I'm not sure it'll reach the heights of the BBC ALW shows (I loved those!), but I'm going to give it a go.

Some Greek sunshine will also be nice now the evenings are getting darker!

Not if I can help it. If something is on a commercial channel I normally record it and scroll through the ads.

After the poor acting, I said it would be Maddie. Then after the singing, I thought it could be Stevie.

I can't say too much, as when I saw the filming there were only 5 Sophies left. But Maddy wasn't one of them. so I wasn't too surprised tonight, especially after she struggled with the acting.

I know one of the contestants and I know who gets to the final two so I can’t really watch it with any enthusiasm. No spoilers from me though - just glad it’s being enjoyed

I'll just be interested to see how the bit I saw being filmed turns out. No idea how much of it they'll use, how much of it will be cut. They filmed it in a taverna, but dressed the taverna up a bit from what it usually looked like.

Desmonda was amazing I thought, I thought she performed the song well but clearly isn't as good as some at acting when she's not singing.

I am still struggling to remember all the names as was multi tasking tonight but one of the blonde girls I thought really suited the part. Leah sang really well but she doesn't fit the part well, she's a bit too edgy when she sings IMO, I just can't see her as Sophie at all.

I think the girl who went wasn't going to win so was a fair choice to leave, she didn't act well enough.

I've seen Mamma Mia a few times at the theatre, there are lots of comedy lines in it so the acting does need to be good I think.

I think it's the ad distribution that's weird. You get a big chunk beginning and end that's ad free, then they put them in every ten minutes in the middle!

A friend texted to tell me she saw her in Miss Saigon in Sheffield this summer, and she was excellent.

Contracts for this must have been a nightmare — they have to work afterwards, and doing the show probably helped with auditions and jobs, but they can't go into anything open-ended for risk of spoiling the results of the show? Or being cast in something they prefer and really messing ITV up!

The BBC one was live so that wasn't an issue.

i love this show. So much talent I’m sure it will do them all good in their careers.

I feel sure they will cast a black sky if they can - we shall see next week. Sad for maddy she was one of my favourites. Stevie is the most like Sophie and I think chose a terrible song for this. I feel sure she will make the final 2-3 anyway.
