I'm not sure it'll reach the heights of the BBC ALW shows (I loved those!), but I'm going to give it a go.

Watching on catch up now, the first girl to do the solo (WHY do they not have name badges) may have messed up her lines in the acting part but she's just given me goosebumps with that song. Wow.

Can I add that I HATE that this is sponsored by jet 2 as I have to Scrabble to ram my finger on the mute button before the ads as I can't stand that hateful screeching Jess Glynne song they use

Desmonda has an incredible voice but atm I think Maisie is the best all round - second best singer and one of the best actresses.

Are they singing live or lip-syncing to a prerecorded track? I can't imagine the acoustics outdoors would sound like that.

I thought Owen really performed that well. Didn’t think the song quite suited his voice, but the performance was good.

I think it was done live with a live band (which they're commenting on), and then has been heavily touched up for the television broadcast.

Frankly I think you could probably whittle it down to the final three or four without much effort. Most are pretty forgettable.

If these are the best 7 men who auditioned then musical theatre in the future is dead. Unless people start writing women-only shows. The Sophies are so much better so far.

Moulin Rouge guy is the worst so far but that arrangement is a difficult one. Plus with the ones with no dancers / backing singers there’s nowhere for them to hide.

Hope they're saving the best for the second half!
