Just binged watched the whole 4 episodes . What a lovely flawed family, I really think they are completely made for each other. It was also amazing watching all the highs and lows of his football career, but god we should be ashamed of what the England supporters put him through when he slipped up in the world cup against Argentina, what he went through was horrific .

My point is every footballer gets abuse, I used him as an example cos I was at a game when I heard the chants about Terry and his family. So it’s not just Beckham, they all get it.

Of course you can compare. Lots of people might think Beckham is a "down right twat" too. Either it's wrong to subject a footballer to verbal taunts or it's not, regardless of your personal opinion of the individual concerned.

I didn't realise how handsome he was back then, so gorgeous! The press & public were awful over the kick, embarrassing really.

What I do find strange and a bit disturbing, considering how he was treated during his career by the press and fans and having kidnapping threats on their children, is why they exposed their kids in the way they have done and still do.

I've always questioned this. Did they want to become a brand so they would have plenty of money to protect dc but in order to be that brand need to court the press/show off dc etc.

He also says that the affair stuff 'was their private life'. That's the thing with the media, once you sell yourself and get into bed with them, it becomes quite difficult to pick and choose what the media list.

I loved it. Lots of 90s and 00s nostalgia plus events I'd forgotten about or didn't realise happened. Also, how gorgeous is David Beckham no matter what his hairstyle or what he wears 😍

I won’t be watching for a whole list of reasons, but I do find it disturbing that they’ve allowed this much direct family exposure to include their daughter, who is still so young. She’s been all over the daily fail in very expensive dresses and shoes, with randoms elsewhere commenting on what she was wearing. Why would you let your daughter be part of such a media frenzy and leave her exposed to receive nasty comments at such a young age? 🤷‍♀️

I think he and Victoria came off well in this and it does showcase what an amazing footballer he was . I dont even like football but he was exceptional . The abuse he got was horrific after the failed World Cup debacle .

Really enjoyed this and have always liked Beckham but I thought Posh came across well too ( not sure why she gets bitched about so much) and was very genuine and the kids all seem lovely which is really a credit to them both. It's a great story of their love for each other and his rise. They overcame whatever happened in Madrid and as he says it is their private lives. Posh was smart not to throw a marriage away over a mistake he may have made.

His father really put the drive in him as a child and I admired his dedication with all those video tapes of his son's matches, it was just a very touching tale of hard work and dedication. Humble family created a humble lad who went on to be worth millions but he still has that humility which is very rare.
I don't think I got how big he was, or how badly he was treated by fans over the kick, and he was such a young lad at the time.

Give him a knighthood I say, he must have generated millions for the UK economy over the years apart from the sporting triumphs...

This was like the PR campaign for it wasn't it!

The daughter is hardly in it at all aside from less than a minute in the final episode and she just seems like a very sweet, well mannered 12-year-old, their kids all just seem to be very nice in the few clips they are in but there is little exposure of them aside to show them as part of a very happy family.I am glad they have survived and thrived as a family, not all smooth sailing for them and money does not eradicate all problems many face including them.

There's a lot of exposure if the kids in the general press & on social media though which I think is what posters mean. You have to give consent to the media publishing images of your dc hence why many celebs have their dc faces blurred in the paper.

I did not know about their kids being on social media but they are very good at making $$ aren't they so I suppose it is part of that. Not going to judge as the press will take pictures anyway.

I want to point out Brooklyn clearly identified Thyme in that chicken in episode 4 so... he may know more about cooking than we have so far seen and all the kids just seem nice.
He also does his own deep cleaning...till the early hours.

Im halfway through the last episode and I think he is gorgeous and he seems like a really
lovely guy - I just can’t believe the bit where he wasn’t present a victorias planned c section as he had a photo shoot with Beyoncé and jlo- was that real!!!! Goes against everything he has spent the last 3 episodes telling us how his family is everything!

They probably are though, based on who else they give honours to. He was letting off steam privately, was blackmailed by a hacker who then doctored some of the content.
