Im 10 mins in on Channel 5+1 and my verdict so far? Great contraception this!

There was a show on last year with Charlie Brooks from EE on
Channel five and was similar ish. Set in Australia
She was a mum of two and she had a dodgy nanny.

I enjoyed it but I've seen JJ in a few things now and she always has the same expressions.
I wanted to slap Eliza. Sorry, not a very PC thing to say, but god, she was annoying.

It'll have about five twists , but it got on with the story at least. Jo is a good actress , but she must be fed up with being the same person in everything!
Maybe she'll end up being the ' baddie '

It's really pissing me off. It's so obvious Emily's up to no good

I wondered if she was in witness protection too and when Emily asked her what is your real name...then she said your maiden name! Some tragedy from the past that the baddie woman Emily is pinning on Laura. Too far fetched that the Emily would be so quickly involved with Laura's life. Also why make Laura looks so frumpy...agree JJ who plays her always has the same expressions in all roles...

I kept thinking about that Sheridan Smith drama with the woman behind the curtain in that house at the end That was funny. I hope this isn't as bonkers

So many dramas are made abroad now. As piggy pointed out , I think you can tell as the houses , roads and locations all look different to anything filmed in the uk yet they try and pass it off as somewhere here.

It's tosh but watchable tosh! I was trying to place the actress playing Emily and then it struck me, it's Helen (Rachel Shenton) from All Creatures Great and Small!
She's actually won an Oscar for a short film that she wrote and co-produced with her husband. The Silent Child is based on her own childhood experience.

Just watched ep #1 on catch-up. It's not really making any secret of the direction it's heading in, is it? Reckon Laura is the one in Emily's sights, don't think it's much to do with Rob.

The best character JJ played was Beth in No Angels.

Truthfully I've only watched the first 15mins but right at the start, in the woods, didn't Emily say "take care grace" or similar before walking away??? Or am I going mad?

Interestingly , for those who feel this may not hang together brilliantly, episodes one and two so far have had different writers.
