I can sew a bit but the cardie I started for my boy when I was pregnant is still in the needles he is 4 🤣🙈

CaptainMyCaptain · 14/06/2023 21:46

The whole thing is a bit pointless. Destroying a blanket to make an inferior garment. Crocheting from the start creates the shape without trying to run it through a sewing machine.

I'm really cross at this episode.

absolutely fine with the no waste pattern stuff, lots of patterns are very wasteful with fabric unnecessarily.

but cutting up perfectly good bags to make a garment that will never be worn by anyone but mannequin. Stupid

cutting up perfectly good, handmade, crochet blankets. Heinous

did the contestants have to go and haunt charity shops and eBay for the blankets themselves or do the production team do it?

It said the contestants had sourced - which is odd as they each have such different lives and time - was there a budget?

Yeah but they are pretending they are saving a blanket from the tip

littlbrowndog · 14/06/2023 21:48

Gawd that is lovely

MorrisZapp · 14/06/2023 21:50

Aasma wtf!

Piggywaspushed · 14/06/2023 21:51

I have forwarded and am feeling all itchy and sweaty and palpitating at all this crochet. Aaaargh!

PersonalJesus · 14/06/2023 21:51

Definitely

littlbrowndog · 14/06/2023 21:52

Wow fauve

pastabest · 14/06/2023 21:52

I think Lauren's crochet item will win garment of the week.

CaptainMyCaptain · 14/06/2023 21:53

I suspect some people had their 'blankets' specially crocheted to be easier to make into the dress they'd planned. Asmaa's looks more like something from a charity shop.

littlbrowndog · 14/06/2023 21:54

Mia nice

MorrisZapp · 14/06/2023 21:54

That mini suit is GORGEOUS

Nameinspirationneeded · 14/06/2023 21:54

Annoyed by praise for crocheting which is a completely different skill.

CaptainMyCaptain · 14/06/2023 21:55

It's not second hand though. I think she crocheted the pieces.

Ok so that's me wrong then

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 14/06/2023 21:55

Mia's outfit looks like it could have been in the movie Clueless, only indoors with the air conditioning turned up to very cold though.

PersonalJesus · 14/06/2023 21:56

Well deserved Mia

Trumpton · 14/06/2023 21:56

You would have to prise my Woolly Hug ( Candy’s Hug)from my cold dead hands to cut it up!
By the way I am totally well now.

littlbrowndog · 14/06/2023 21:56

Yay Mia

pastabest · 14/06/2023 21:57

woodhill · 14/06/2023 21:57
