For the love of cheese - come on and vote mumsnet we cannot let Matt Hancock win I’m a celeb. He will be all over our tv about how the British public have forgiven him and this has been part of his redemption.

But but why? He's cringy, wanting to win and a horrendous politician.

Why not vote for someone who is honest, warm, natural and kind. Like Jill, Owen or Mike.

Blimey, it’s a free country! She can vote for who she likes!

Changechangychange · 26/11/2022 22:10

supertato32 · 26/11/2022 21:51

@Changechangychange yep, that is horrendous and so is Matt Hancock 'looking for forgiveness' for his disgusting handling of pandemic that cost thousands of people their lives and wasted billions of pounds!

Oh totally agree, I don’t like either of them! Or the drunk drivers. Pretty unlikable group all round this year.

ODPintheNHS · 26/11/2022 22:11

I’ve been voting for him! He’s my favourite!

LumpyandBumps · 26/11/2022 22:11

He’s in the final 3, so lots of people must be voting for him.

Roussette · 26/11/2022 22:12

Greenshake · 26/11/2022 21:52

@supertato32 there are far bigger things to worry about right now than MH in this tv show.

Yes like our MPs actually working. Something MH is not doing.
It's appalling. If I lived in his constituency I would be shouting very very loudly

The Last Leg presenter held a mock political surgery in his constituency and he was shocked that he was inundated with real people with real problems. It was meant to be satire for the show but it was not comedy, people just wanted their MP to LISTEN to them and there he is pratting about on the other side of the world earning £400k in a reality show

And people vote for him to win this?

You need help and a reality check

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 26/11/2022 22:13

Ah balls. Sad he’s out.

I doubt Matt will be bothered about you shouting 'very very loudly' with his paycheck Grin

sashagabadon · 26/11/2022 22:13

I don’t think MH is a psychopath. That description sounds bonkers. He seems quite emotionally intelligent to me.
funny how people can see different things in the same person.
I doubt very much that MH thought he’d get top 3. I predicted it way back at the beginning of the show/ thread however!
I now predict jill to win 😊

FitYeDaeinYeMadRadge · 26/11/2022 22:14

Team Jill for me too.

cosmiccosmos · 26/11/2022 22:14

Haven't seen the stats but I bet it's mainly young people voting and predominantly those in a lower demographic. I know that won't be popular. However frankly anyone who knows anything about the pandemic and the long term affects of MH's decisions along with his flagrant abuse of lockdown rules with his affair would not vote for him. Sadly the fact he is still there tells us a lot about society now. People seem to be happy to forgive and forget any type of bevaviour - is this because they think it is acceptable? something they could see themselves doing? Something that 'people in power' do (and let's get over it?).

I know its a tv show but people are paying to vote!

If you don't want him to win because he wants to win, then I'd have to assume that you think Jill, Owen and Mike don't want to win.
So why would you make them win. Might as well vote for someone who's worked hard in there, knowing others didn't like him, were gossiping about him and to whom a win would mean a lot.

Ramble0n · 26/11/2022 22:16

It's no surprise we ended up with this shower of shit government if people think MH is a nice bloke.

Or people take the view that he made decisions as best he could based on the info ( often conflicting and contradictory) we had at the time and anyone in that role would have made mistakes as it was an unprecedented situation that no one in the U.K. had encountered before and politicians even ministers are human beings not gods just like everyone else

So why are you being angry about something that doesn't affect you? There are far more important things to be angry about at the moment instead of Matt Hancock being in the jungle!

Spck · 26/11/2022 22:18

@Ramble0n completely agree but it’s still shocking some people think he’s a nice bloke because of him being good at trials and a ‘nice bloke’ when the cameras are on 🙄

Tell that to his constituents. Maybe they are angry about something and need their MPs help.

70billionthnamechange · 26/11/2022 22:20

Not one person will say to their mates that they like him or voted for him. Just like no one ever admits to voting for the Tories. But there's obvs a fuck load of people who do so i don't bloody trust anyone anymore

tiggergoesbounce · 26/11/2022 22:20

Of course he won't. Thats the point. He doesn't give a shit about anyone except himself, he has proven this.
And thats fine in most job roles, not in his. Hes a disgrace of and MP, hes been a disgrace of a father and a disgrace of a husband. But lets crown him 🙄🙄
I was hoping women were getting better at not promoting these sorts men, sadly not, still low standards 😔

Because I have a similar MP.

Doesn't reply to emails and after 30 ,years without a constituency office or surgeries, he is now deciding to open one as he is running scared for votes in the next GE.

That's why.

ODPintheNHS · 26/11/2022 22:21

I know all about the pandemic. I worked in ITU.

weirdly… my colleagues like him too.

because he’s not to blame. He was a fall guy that was told what to say. we are all intelligent people that are allowed to make our own decisions. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know others in the NHS that broke lockdown rules. I know people in carehomes that broke lockdown rules.

You don’t like him - Fine.

Don’t dictate how others should feel about him, and don’t make judgements on those that do like him.

LumpyandBumps · 26/11/2022 22:21

I am a constituent, and quite frankly he’s about as much use at present as he always was. I am still waiting for a reply from 2019 😂😂

Shouldershoddy · 26/11/2022 22:21

supertato32 · 26/11/2022 21:46

Well there are a lot of fuckwits in this country, so there is definitely a good chance he could win! Apparently we should all feel sorry for him because he was 'bullied' in there! Fucks sake, little Britain's ignorance knows no bounds!

In a nutshell…a massive kick in the teeth for people who did the right thing with Covid !
I witnessed 8 residents dying in one day at our care home because of the decision to Chuck out elderly people into care homes … thank you to all the Matt fans for validating that it was ok 👍

RedWingBoots · 26/11/2022 22:21

OP what's the links to your social media campaign so Matt Handjob loses to a particular person?

I need to know as someone who is refusing to watch the series when and what number to vote for.
