Taskmaster- just me?

To me this is the ultimate comfort TV.
Every season I miss the previous year's contestants and then end up loving it all over again.
This year the less well-known candidates (to me as well) have already won me over. And Dara O'Briain is like the exasperated yet optimistic supervising the chaos.
The question group task at the end of last episode had me crying.

We love it in this house!

The official podcast is brilliant too, lots of extra insight.

If you listen to the Parenting Hell podcast (if not, why not - it’s genius!) Rob Beckett talks about doing Taskmaster as his daughter was literally born a week or two before they filmed it and he was in that “newborn, no sleep” phase and barely functioning!

Topgub there’s a team but Alex is generally involved with coming up with ideas. (I read an interview with him).

I dont think any have been repeated although some are obviously very similar/have a theme

I know!

A long time ago, on a different forum, we played a similar game where tasks were set and if you lost you were booted from the group.

The winner had to run the next game.

I could never be imaginative enough to do the tasks or set them lol.

Greg has said in several interviews that Alex thinks about new tasks all the time; it's basically his obsession. He does work with other people, including Tim Key, who is in the credits as "tasks consultant".

As far as I can recall the only task that has been repeated was the one in the early series where they got given £20 to buy a present and had several weeks to come up with something . Until last night I thought this series was a bit lacking but last nights episode was excellent .

I did enjoy the team tasks though! 😂 I’m not a huge Sarah Millican fan and I wondered how long it would be before she had to bring out the potty mouth. It’s not shocking any more for women to mention periods, dildoes, cocks or fannies, oh and tits. It’s so last century now! I am liking Fearne, especially when she said, “oh no” every time she missed the toilet with the toilet roll.
