Taskmaster- just me?

To me this is the ultimate comfort TV.
Every season I miss the previous year's contestants and then end up loving it all over again.
This year the less well-known candidates (to me as well) have already won me over. And Dara O'Briain is like the exasperated yet optimistic supervising the chaos.
The question group task at the end of last episode had me crying.

I have spent far too long trying to master this. The best way is to do it in a rhythm of 4 beats, snort, raspberry, whistle, breathe.

Doc Brown's fish nursery rhyme is still one of my favourite moments.

My immediate thought was of this song - my Gran used to sing it to me when I was little with great gusto, especially giving it some comic welly on the raspberries!

I wonder if this was the inspiration?

You know- I've heard my father attempt this song so many times whilst in hysterics, I've never ever thought to see if it's a real song!

That has triggers the ghost of a memory that I can't quite grasp... it has reminded me of a song from childhood that involved sounds like that but it wasn't that song. This is going to bug me now!

The thing with series 7 is that Rhod could have easily won if he hadn't decided that sacrificing points to the greater cause of trolling Greg was more important. I like that level of dedication.

What are you thinking about the lineup for Season 15. I’m not a huge Frankie Boyle fan, but this time I’ve actually heard of all the prospective contestants. I do like Ivo Graham though, so I’m quite looking forward to it.

Kiell from Ghosts was on a Sewing Bee celeb special and he was exactly like Mike from Ghosts, so I'm not expecting him to be an O'Briain style scoring machine, though he might be good at sporty stuff. Eclair and Boyle will have low cunning. Sort of dreading Ivo Graham and Frankie Boyle's interaction.

I love Eclair. She will cheat her way to victory, I hope.

I really dislike Jenny Eclair and Frankie Boyle but we’ve decided we will give it a try and see if I can get over my dislike as I like the chap from Ghosts and Ivo

I was at the recording for one of the next series. Will be interesting to see how it's edited. FB was fairly quiet.

I've just caught up. Has been a great series. Was rooting for Sarah but happy with a Dara win. Won't watch the next series, I can't stand Frankie Boyle.

I’m not a Frankie Boyle fan either, but I will watch the series and hopefully watch him get the smirk wiped from his face.

I recommend, as always, listening to the podcast interview with Sarah Millican for the final episode. They normally interview the winner but it was the only date they could get her to come in! It was lovely to hear her talking about how she decided she was just going to enjoy herself on the Show, and to sit down whenever possible. She did also confirm that she checked under the table for every single task 🤣

I really enjoyed this series and am sad it's over.
I'm very disappointed that FB is in next series. I dislike him immensely. His 'no holds barred' attitude to the focus for 'humour' has disgusted me on occasions.

I loved that Alex made her an extra "task" that hung under the table and just said "Hello Sarah". It was almost as good as when Alex had an extra folded "task" just for Ed Gamble on the "say a letter of the alphabet" task. That's the genius of Taskmaster; you really get to find out how these people's brains work or don't cough Baddiel cough

Really disappointed Boyle is in the next series. Will the first time I skip a TM series. He is abhorrent.
