Fab cheers for that.

Faircastle · 19/02/2023 21:14

I read today (Geektown) that Grey's and Station 19 will be returning in the UK on 8 March.

Parentofatween · 08/03/2023 12:33

New episode on Disney!

Justme10 · 08/03/2023 14:28

I will be watching tonight!

Thanks! That's my evening sorted :)

GerbilsForever24 · 08/03/2023 15:25

Aaah, so Wednesdays on Disney is now ALL the shows - I watch NCIS, NCIS Hawaii, That new journalism show based in Alaska and now also Greys and Station 19.Nice!

Faircastle · 08/03/2023 22:11

I'm up to date with both Grey's and Station 19 now.
One episode of each is released on Disney+ each Wednesday... does anyone know what order it's best to watch these in (for narrative of cross-overs)?

E.g. today, these episodes were released:
Grey's Anatomy S19 E7 (I'll Follow the Sun)
Station 19 S6 E7 (We Build Then We Break)

Which takes place first?

Faircastle · 08/03/2023 22:22

I think Station 19 is shown first in the US then Grey's Anatomy, so I'll try that order.

pastabest · 08/03/2023 22:56

Ooooh.

Meredith to Derek Season 2 'Pick me, Love me'

Meredith to Nick Season 19 'I am not going to beg you to love me'

Character development right there Grin

Yes, I was coming to say the same thing!
I loved that she said that, shows just how much she has grown.

I thought her goodbye party was a bit disappointing, she deserved more. I do like the interns living together in her house though, feels like we have came full circle.

Supertayto · 09/03/2023 20:00

Ooh have just discovered this thread! I found the goodbye party disappointing too, like we were being primed for the series without her. I like the full circle aspect at the end though.

WeWereInParis · 09/03/2023 20:07

I think she's coming back for the season finale, so she will appear one more time.

Presumably that will actually settle what happens with her and Nick as well

Justme10 · 09/03/2023 20:57

Yeah I think she's said she will come back occasionally but I still feel like there should have been more.

Do we think Helm will come back to the hospital? Seems strange that she's still at the bar.

OP posts:
Supertayto · 09/03/2023 21:51

I was debating the Helm thing during the episode too. Is she a replacement for Joe (think that was his name) in a bid to broaden things? Will she eventually just return having had her day in the sun? My current theory is that something catastrophic will happen either at or near the bar, forcing her to step in and this will cause her to return.

WeWereInParis · 09/03/2023 22:12

My current theory is that something catastrophic will happen either at or near the bar, forcing her to step in and this will cause her to return.

That would be very similar to Christina after the shooting. She worked at the bar (although quite briefly I think), then ended up on the scene of another shooting and that got her back into surgery again.

Supertayto · 10/03/2023 12:53

You’re right! OK, I’ll amend to ‘my current theory which has been shamelessly pilfered from a previous storyline’ 😂

Justme10 · 10/03/2023 14:59

I think they will go down the route of all the interns now going to Helm for her help, I don't know why cos she's not a Christina, and then she will decide to go back to the hospital.

Caught up!

Yes, s19 comes before greys. The fire episode in Greys was “concluded” on s19’s latest episode.

The leaving party was really bloody weird. Why would no one make Meredith a proper speech?

Ridley10 · 12/03/2023 18:52

I keep watching. I wish I didn’t bother. I think I’ve just lost interest. The characters are really lacking as is the storyline.

SheilaFentiman · 12/03/2023 20:06

I like the new set of interns. It’s a try at a reboot, they are getting more focus than prior sets with Grey going.

Autienotnautie · 14/03/2023 18:27

Watched s19 and greys . I'm enjoying both. Think this is the best series of greys since about s15. Agree Meredith's departure was lacklustre.

Justme10 · 17/03/2023 21:36

I've just saw that Maggie is leaving! I'm guessing she doesn't work everything out with Winston then.

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/03/2023 09:35

What is it with greys that they turn interesting and/or likable relatable characters into arseholes.

Callie
Owen
Teddy
Maggie
Amelia
Alex
George

They've done it with all of them. I dont expect them to be without fault obviously but it seems they develope them as some sort of role model, in maggies case an adopted young gifted black female sugeon/chief of department. Then turn her into a whiny, self absorbed, opinionated judgmental woman who no longer affords people ( Winston in this case) the same understanding and chances to prove themselves that she received and were necessary in order to get her to where she is.

Its as if they forget the roots of the characters they wrote. Its beyond ridiculous

SheilaFentiman · 18/03/2023 09:46

I disagree on Karev, his was arsehole to good guy journey,

I hated the Callie following Penny storyline. There’s no way she would do that to Sofia for the sake of someone she’d been dating 5 mins. Give her an offer to head up amazing department somewhere at least!

Whatwouldscullydo · 18/03/2023 09:54

Then he became an arsehole again. That was so ridiculous he'd never have done that to jo. Jo was a far better fit than izzy ever was
