It's like Christmas has come early! It's looks tense from the trailer/advert. So sad it's the last one though-or is it just Perez's last series? Love Tosh. Can't stand Sandy. I'd love to visit up there.

I haven't watched EE for years but she did look vaguely familiar.

Just worried now that cake might go stale in fridges like bread does?

Are they literally fridges or is it a turn of phrase? (‘Cake box’ or ‘cake cupboard’ doesn’t have the same ring).

I’ve actually been to Shetland (pre- the TV show) and am now gutted that I didn’t come across any.

The cake fridges I saw in Shetland were like chiller cabinets - cakes and savoury bakes etc - cling film wrapped or in sealed plastic boxes displayed in a glass fronted 'fridge' but not too cold I suppose. I've also seen cake hut/bothy type places on other Scottish islands. Yum!

Shetland seems to be the Midsomer of Scotland.

Hello my people ! I went searching for a thread on this and found you.

I have been to Shetland 3 times and never seen a cake fridge . Can’t have been looking hard enough. Must go again soon and look properly this time.

We used to stay at the real life equivalent of Billie ‘s place who owns a cottage for rent on Bressay where this series is based. Or at least the guesthouse is - Noss View.

Disappointed that the body in the suitcase appears to be someone we haven’t met yet ! I do hope Perres is not going to do a Ruth Rendal on us and pull something out the hat at the last minute!

After last night, my money, at the moment, is on that girl at the school. The dark haired teenager. She obviously knew the comic book author in the first programme and appeared to be following the girlfriend when she left the boarding house in response to the text last night.
Could she have killed the red head and if not, if she followed then surely she would have raised the alarm if she saw her being killed and stuffed in the boot of the car?

I don't think it's usually obvious. It likes to lead you in one direction, only for it to change and then change again.
I didn't like how they wrapped up the ex copper storyline, but then again, have they? I'm not convinced drug dealers would let something like that go so easily.
I feel it's to do with some eco issue with the breakers yard, and the woman sat in the car at the college. I do think Connor is dead and someone else has his phone

We just got back from over 2 weeks in Shetland. The well-known cake fridge is in Burraforth, which is fairly north of Lerwick, and is on the side of the road with a cafe where we had lunch several times. The fridge also has a coffee machine in it and an honesty box. We also saw one cake fridge on its own on Yell. I cannot wait to go back next year it is a truly special place.

Although we went to see the puffins we did do the 'Shetland Perez' tour that they organise.

It was fabulous for all birds, especially puffins. I mean truly spectacular. Arctic tern was also a highlight.

I was astounded at the B&B guest not only getting involved in the hunt for Connor but... getting amazon deliveries sent to him at the B&B. I mean... the AUDACITY.

So he is also on my "Well dodgy" list.

Just caught up with last week's episode and I'm a bit confused (not difficult).

It seemed that the girlfriend Bryd wasn't convinced that Connor was dead. So when she received the text message towards the end of the episode are we to assume that Connor's phone number is the one he was using at the time of his disappearance? In which case, wouldn't the police have put a tracer on his phone?

Am I missing something or just being picky?

Watched both episodes now - yes it's really good!
