Be still my gnarly black heart. Love fest ‘coming soon’.

Get your pouts ready for the ‘gram and your flags at the ready 🇬🇧

I forgot to apply. But no doubt that will be a relief for the Producers.

There ain’t enough satin in the world to cover this harris.

And the veil could never hide my face well enough to stop my groom doing a Julia Roberts.

Maybe next time….

Ok...April and George he is needy and insecure as fuck she didn't cheat ffs! He's so camp I wonder if he actually might be bi. I don't like April but he is to much.

Whitney honestly never seen anyone so rude, her mum dying is no excuse for that attitude forgetting his name? That was bullshit just another dig at the poor bloke I don't think it's fair on him to be stuck with her.

Loving Jordan and chanita.

Thomas is rude af but imagine if they'd paired him with another Thomas it wouldn't work so I see what they've done there...Katie mmmm not sure what's going on there.

Felt sorry for pjay the mother wants to wind her neck in.

Doubleraspberry · 05/09/2022 11:19

I watched the George and April honeymoon episode again with DH and he felt as much as I did that George was a needy nightmare. Maybe he's damaged from his previous relationship, but his reaction to the suggestion of some time out was suffocating, and all the flouncing.

April is also irritating, obvs.

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 05/09/2022 12:21

Seriously, my fanjo crawled up my rib cage watching George be so freaking needy when April wanted some space. I’m not a fan of hers at all but i think I too might need frequent space from someone who appears so insecure and fragile and constantly needs validation from external sources.
Originally I was wondering what his catch was as he seems like a decent bloke. But I sense a tinge of controlling behaviour from him which would escalate if he was feeling rejected. I hope I’m wrong but as an aged crone with many mistakes under my belt and many hours of reality TV ( hello Below Deck fans) watched Im getting a vibe of unpleasant neediness.

All these characters need a proper ixpert in counselling and mental health not a stint as a pretend married couple on global TV.

i know that makes me a total hypocrite but I can live with that .

Totally agree with this. He went from seeming pretty appealing to appalling in one episode. You’d spend your whole time keeping him ‘happy’.

I'm not yet ready to condemn George as controlling or needy. First, I'd want to know how many people were in the hot tub (doubt April was playing dare just with one woman!) and who they were - male and female.

If they were members of the crew and she'd been getting 'friendly' with them throughout the honeymoon then maybe April was leaving George alone for hours at a time. It feels a bit like 'waving a glass in my face'. I wanna see how it played out for myself because I'm not sure I believe the version we've (not) been shown!!

Ah but the neediness etc occurred before the Hot Tub Incident, when April wanted a bit of space from him. I imagine he can be very intense. I’m sure he’s a nice enough guy and all that, but maybe not necessarily ready for a relationship.

I wonder how they choose "contestants" and then pair them. Do you think they select, say 200 or 300 suitable candidates from auditions and then match the 8 couples from that 200/300 OR do they have a final 16 of successful auditionees and then make their couple from those?

I don't think they match contestants based upon who will be suited, except superficially [vaguely similar age, something in common etc]. I think they match them based upon drama potential = viewers = revenue.

You‘ll never see it! We are at the mercy of editors.

Indeed. He started going weird on her as soon as she asked for some time on her own. The hot tub was way down the line, after he’d walked away from her twice.

HoofWankingSpangleCunt · 05/09/2022 14:22

Plus, how could I forget the fucking “four heartbeats” comment? I’m amazed my flaps unglued themselves enough to slam shut again at the neediness segment.

Hahaha!

Yeah but I'm questioning her motivations for wanting that space. Ie she'd met people she would rather play hot tub dare with! (Cos that's more useful to her future career) it's early days and already it's smelling of manipulation to guarantee airtime for when the group sessions start! As we know the 'boring' couples get skimmed over 😉

MelodyPondsMum · 05/09/2022 17:57

George seems needy and a bit too huffy, temper tantrumy for me.
But April pulling the - 'most men would have loved watching!' - as though it was her wedding gift to him - was next level gaslighting.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 05/09/2022 18:20

Eeh, I just want to clarify something I said. When I wrote that I was sick of the screechy people on here and turning off, I meant the people on the after show. Not the people here on the thread. Luffs you all on the thread. Especially the hilarious and cutting remarks (I've stored a few away for future use IRL also known as things you wish you'd said to some people after the event) 😉

As you were.

HappyPeach · 05/09/2022 19:00

I bet April would be incandescent if it'd been George snogging in the hot tub for a dare...

Doubleraspberry · 05/09/2022 20:29

I’m not an April cheerleader but I actually don’t think she would. She strikes me as someone who would be unbothered by a snog in a hot tub, involving a dare and booze, and a man she’s known for 72 hours, however ‘married’ they are. Which is why she doesn’t get his reaction.

burnoutbabe · 05/09/2022 20:36

i do get the I NEED SPACE part (and how it seems silly when on this show)

But there surely is some compromise - a morning spent on your own and then afternoon doing AN ACTIVTY (golfing/driving a dune buggy) then evening doing a meal.
Plus i do think putting them in a room together with NO option but a big double bed is asking for trouble - someone always has to sleep on a tiny couch - just offer them another bed in another room if needed.

tellyiscrap · 05/09/2022 21:08

Bloody hell , not often I get something right . 😂😂😂😂

yellowsmileyface · 05/09/2022 21:19

They both seem like well suited couples, though Kwame seems quite arrogant. I cringed when he said he was looking for an Instagram model.

tellyiscrap · 05/09/2022 21:20

I agree , I especially like her

dapsnotplimsolls · 05/09/2022 21:23

Little brother is unimpressed!

burnoutbabe · 05/09/2022 21:26

Did Keisha say she had a child who'd be about 20isj I assume but no more mention of them?

dapsnotplimsolls · 05/09/2022 21:27

I assume he doesn't want to be involved?

We never really saw what she was going to propose for some time alone as he just flounced as soon as she raised the issue. I got the impression a morning out might have been about it. But we’ll never know!

dillite · 05/09/2022 21:29

I forgot that this was on and started to watch HoD. How is it looking?
