In honour of the finale, can we have a thread about the most memorable moments over the years? I haven't watched for many years now but as a kid it was on every single day.

Moments/characters I remember:

A spider falling into someone's from above the mirror in the car making her accelerate and knock down and kill another character (I think it was Cheryl?)

Joe Mangles dog Bouncer.

Joe Mangle's wife dying by being shot at in some sort of duck enclosure (I was very young for that one so could have got that wrong).

Fancying Billy and Lance and having posters of them on my bedroom wall.

A curly haired, husky voiced girl being shot. Was she called Cody?

A wheeler dealer character called Lou.

Anyone else?!

I loved the whole story with Libby Kennedy, Dan Fitzgerald and Steph Scully. I was trying to get my OH to remember the names of the blonde surfy guy with the blonde girl - then i realised i was thinking of Shane and Angel from Home and Away!

Yes what a trip down memory lane. My sister had one of the yellow Neighbours books a PP mentioned. Remember when Julie Martin was being gaslighted by Michael? She was an unlikeable character but played that storyline well I thought, it was a good story as she was so brittle anyway, I remember feeling sorry for her even though she was annoying.

DH went on a trip to the set when he was in Australia (despite not really watching the show) and met Bouncer.

I remember Max and Maria right at the start. Didn't Maria have a son who wasn't actually Max's and they split up (might have remembered that wrong - Danny maybe??) Also remember that Lucy Robinson was played by very different looking actors and Scott too. I remember crying when Daphne died.

Definitely memory lane - haven't watched for years but will go and watch the finale!

It's a trip down Memory Lane reading this.

Lou and Harold hated each other due to them both liking Madge, they had some very funny scenes together.

I was so cross when Karl Kennedy had an affair with Sarah and I couldn't see what she saw in him.

Sarah had a sister, I can't remember what she was called but she was petite and blond and completely different to Sarah.

After Todd died he came back as a ghost. (Unless I am getting him confused with Shane and Angel from Home and Away).

Terese is played by Rebekah Elmaloglu who played Sophie in H&A (she was a teen Mum and lived with Pippa).

I remember Toby, Jo Mangles son and a scene where Jo slapped Toby and he sat on the front drive cuddling Bouncer.

It was great to see Charlene in a green Mini in the final episode, when she left originally she left in a green Mini and I remember sobbing my heart out!

Sarah's sister was Catherine O'Brien who married Mal Kennedy! That family is so incestuous!

Leo and Amy (Paul’s daughter) nearly we’re attracted to each other before they found out they were half siblings

Discovered that Stefan Dennis dated Natalie imbruglia when she was 17/18 and he was in his thirties. Not surprised they kept that quiet!

Weirdly I also remember a thread where someone was dared to drink a lot of vinegar and went into a diabetic coma almost, she might have been a twin and had a brother?

I think that was Dani and it was undiluted squash. I think she had a brother (possibly twin) called Brett.

Natalie started on Neighbours in January 1992 when she was only 16. Stefan Dennis left the show that same August, they were only on the show together for 7 months. So she would have been barely 17 when they dated.

He also dated the actress who played his wife (the twin) for two years, but that actress was only on the show 1990-1992. He must have been a fast mover!

I remember a scene in which Scott was explaining to his dad (Jim Robinson) that he and Charlene were planning on honeymooning in Tasmania in order to support the economy (i.e. keep the money in Australia). Jim then congratulated Scott, saying something along the lines of, "Well done, you're already thinking like a responsible adult!"

Teenage me just sat there thinking, you boring boring bastards! It's weird the things that stick with you!

Someone mentioned the original Brad Willis-he was a surfer. He got attacked by a shark and his surf board was out up outside the cafe- the hungry bite! Which later got called Harold’s !
Does anyone remember the Martin family? Philip and Julie? Philip had a son called Michael from a previous marriage. Hannah was the daughter.
Micheal tried to convince everyone including Julie she was imagining things and losing her mind ! Anyone else remember?

Such an emotional thread with so many memories

My memory I’m not even sure it’s actually real, but I think it involves Dr K rescuing someone from drowning, using a water reed plant as a straw to breathe when the person was under the water. Can anyone remember that and if so, please tell me who was drowning!

I remember Michael gaslighting Julie Martin. Didn't she believe that a Korean family were eating barbecued dog?!

Remember Rachel Kinski running off with her teacher and living in a shithole - she had to have tap water on her cereal because they couldn't afford milk.

Also Janae Timmins (the younger one) working in the hospital and being privy to some embarrassing ailment of Harold's.
