In honour of the finale, can we have a thread about the most memorable moments over the years? I haven't watched for many years now but as a kid it was on every single day.

Moments/characters I remember:

A spider falling into someone's from above the mirror in the car making her accelerate and knock down and kill another character (I think it was Cheryl?)

Joe Mangles dog Bouncer.

Joe Mangle's wife dying by being shot at in some sort of duck enclosure (I was very young for that one so could have got that wrong).

Fancying Billy and Lance and having posters of them on my bedroom wall.

A curly haired, husky voiced girl being shot. Was she called Cody?

A wheeler dealer character called Lou.

Anyone else?!

Been thinking about Neighbours all day at work!
There was Carmela, who became a nun I think. Did she have an affair with Paul?
Liliana, who before she died in a plane crash somehow caused by Paul, turned out to have a secret son who fell in love with her non-secret daughter

Id forgotten about Connors disappearance, tho remembered him marrying the youngest scully with pretty plaits in her hair.

Best acting goes to Libby when the catholic priest emerged from Susans bedroom saying is that bacon I smell? Im starving! Her face was SO GOOD.

Most bonkers was the plane crash. The annoying granddaughter of Harold never reappeared. Although Dee and Toady going over a cliff just after their wedding was pretty far out.

Bouncer's dream was also excellent.

Does anyone remember Joe Mangles son Toby getting stuck in a trunk, nearly suffocating - I think bouncer barked to draw attention and Toby was saved!

I ask the same about Ian Beale and Phil Mitchell in Eastenders!! (And I think Paul is better looking than either of them)

Sam (of Annelise and Sam), the biker, was very hot back in the day.

I wanted to fancy Brad (who cheated on Beth with Lauren) but his jaw was JUST TOO SQUARE.

I remember being so upset when Drew died (falling from horse?). He and Libby were my favourite characters. Scene at funeral with Libby singing had me in floods.

Bridget's death and Declan bringing up their baby alone.
Really didn't like how they changed the actor playing Declan though

I remember when they had Libby's baby's christening (Ben?) And one of the crew had died in real life or something so they added his name in as a middle name for the baby.

Lori getting pregnant because she was on antibiotics which messed with her contraceptive pill stayed with me for life - any time I go on ABs I ask about it- GPs often don't say explicitly...

Bouncer saving Madge and baby Sky from a chip pan fire by ANSWERING THE PHONE to Toby and barking, anyone else remember this gem? Move over Lassie 😂

I really can’t believe the shows ended! I like lots of us, grew up watching it..
Especially when it was on BBC one twice a day!
Here’s sone things I remember. Probably from the 90s…? Does anyone remember when Paul Robinson was going to jump off a bridge?
And when Pauls wife gave birth in an ice cream van? Or did I imagine that?

And why was Kylie Minogue dress like its 1988? And has she had work done, her face seemed different ?

Does my one remember the Alessi family? I think the dad was called Benito, and the son was Rick? He dated Cody.
And Todd , who lived with Jim and Helen Robinson? Or was it Helen Daniels? Todd had a friend called Marco.
Also I’m sure one of Pauls wives (maybe Gail) was accused of stealing a pen from a department store and was sent to court? Or did I imagine that too?!

Yes I remember the them and their dad Benito, I remember being very young and asking my mum what a vasectomy was as he had it and didn’t know what it was haha hope I haven’t got it mixed up, also Gail stealing a pen rings a bell
