In honour of the finale, can we have a thread about the most memorable moments over the years? I haven't watched for many years now but as a kid it was on every single day.

Moments/characters I remember:

A spider falling into someone's from above the mirror in the car making her accelerate and knock down and kill another character (I think it was Cheryl?)

Joe Mangles dog Bouncer.

Joe Mangle's wife dying by being shot at in some sort of duck enclosure (I was very young for that one so could have got that wrong).

Fancying Billy and Lance and having posters of them on my bedroom wall.

A curly haired, husky voiced girl being shot. Was she called Cody?

A wheeler dealer character called Lou.

Anyone else?!

@Frazzled2207 you just reminded me that Rob and Cameron were triplets with Elle.

Lucy was frequently in it as an adult in her last incarnation and was in the last episodes!

there was the original one with short dark hair and the second one has frizzy hair (which she lost when she had a brain tumour) then there was the blonde one who went off the rails a bit IIRC

Who remembers Donna and Ringo? Donna of course played by Margot Robbie but their storyline was similar to Mac and Hendrix (married young and he died)

My favourite moments are from the 80s/early 90s and then the glory days of House of Trouser.

I know someone mentioned Lou but he and Harold were such a fantastic double act I'm sad he didn't come back for the finale

Lucy was the blond one in the blue dress in the last episode who was encouraging Paul to get back with Therese.
took me a while to recognise her but it was the same actress.
the original one was small with dark hair and seemed to constantly have a blocked nose. Then there was an older girl who played her who looked completely different, then when the character came back it was this hot blond girl!

@Frazzled2207 Melissa Bell, she did go off the rails but she's the one who's come back over the years.

She had a baby with Chris Pappas, who also made an appearance this week with their daughter

I thought Melissa Bell, Natalie imbruglia and Kylie- all absolutely beautiful women- have destroyed their faces with bad plastic surgery and/or fillers. It was really sad to see.

Jackie Woodburn on the other hand has aged naturally and is still absolutely stunning. Ditto Guy Pearce.

The 'middle' Lucy had dark fluffy hair and had a brain tumour (in the storyline) and had a bandage around her head.

I think Jason has aged well too, and Lucinda Cowden (Melanie)

Also while we're on the subject, teen Toadie would have been an absolute NO from me, even watching the flashbacks 100% wasn't for me.

Present day Toadie... defo would 🙈

Yes, Lucinda Cowden looks like herself but older, which is what you'd expect to happen! Jane still looks lovely too.

I have followed Jason through the years (seen him as both Joseph and as Pharaoh in the musical, 30 years apart😄) and he looks great, though he doesn't make me melt into a puddle like when I was 10.

I still wouldn't shag Toadie though.

It took me a while to recognise Natalie Imbruglia because her face has changed so much!

Guy Pearce is still gorgeous and a fabulous actor!

I saw Jason in Grease a month ago, he was amazing - tbf I was completely star struck

Yes! I was going to say the same thing. It definitely happened in another soap, but wasn’t it more of a flashback? Someone feeling guilty because they’d killed someone by hiding a plastic spider in the sun visor.

Sorry I meant to reply to whoever said the spider thing happened elsewhere.

Oh and Susan losing her memory and thinking she was a teenager. I can't remember how that happened, I think someone whacked her on the head.

What was the name of the Kinski dad who married Susan (in one of her break ups from Karl) and then died?

There was a classic line in the last couple of weeks about Lucy changing her looks over the years, "almost like she had different heads". I think the script writers were having fun in the last weeks.

She was in some of the flashback scenes, I’m pretty sure the actress passed away a few years back.

Yes she did. But the actors who played Madge and Doug were there in reality (although ghosts in the story).

When they appeared I shouted "oh god, Neighbours has made a deepfake!" Before realising that the actors weren't actually dead.

I may have been a little emotional (and pissed).

The actress who played Helen is definitely dead sadly . There were some flashback scenes. Clearly she wasn’t actually there.

Helen's death. The girl who played Hannah was extraordinarily good in that scene.

I had totally lost track of what was real and what wasn't by that point.

Doug is Jason Donovan's dad in real life (as you probably know).

There was also a comment about how so many of the characters had ended up in Queensland 😀 They were definitely having fun, as shown by the music playing on the car stereo when Scott and Charlene appeared (although I would have loved it if Scott had said "let's switch off that rubbish"!)
