In honour of the finale, can we have a thread about the most memorable moments over the years? I haven't watched for many years now but as a kid it was on every single day.

Moments/characters I remember:

A spider falling into someone's from above the mirror in the car making her accelerate and knock down and kill another character (I think it was Cheryl?)

Joe Mangles dog Bouncer.

Joe Mangle's wife dying by being shot at in some sort of duck enclosure (I was very young for that one so could have got that wrong).

Fancying Billy and Lance and having posters of them on my bedroom wall.

A curly haired, husky voiced girl being shot. Was she called Cody?

A wheeler dealer character called Lou.

Anyone else?!

There was a girl that was musical, she left to go to a great music school in Sydney (in the plot) my eldest now goes to that school

there have been some other things where real life has echoed the show, the falling down a mine thing is real (not me)

Bouncer’s dream was an absolute classic episode

Yeah was that Nina? She released an album in real life I think!

Carmella who tried to sell someone's baby and became a nun.
All the Fraser, Donna, Pepper, Rosie, Ringo antics.
The Kinskis, esp Zeke who had to live in a bubble for a bit (?)
Evil male twins Ben and someone
Stingray sitting in a chair and quietly dying of an aneurism (cake-taker)
Connor who disappeared and it was implied was secretly buried under one of the front gardens in Ramsay St (possibly to do with the evil twins).

I'd totally forgotten Elle! She was always running scams. I mainly remember her complaining some pasta wasn't al dente as a means to stop a trip or something.

Izzy and Karl’s affair was a great storyline, she went evil didn’t she?

Does anyone remember Dr Clive? He was a doctor but worked in the cafe cos he had made a mistake so didn't want to practice medicine.

And then he performed a tracheotomy on Lucy on the kitchen table with something akin to a bic pen.

The triplets came back as teens. One of them pretended to be the other boy one and was evil, he murdered the good one, went to prison, got let out and held Susan’s niece hostage when she was in labour.

Ah yes, these were my "evil twins".

Clive has been back in it for a while. I was also on that Art of Neighbours fb group back in the day!

Clive is back and has been for some time. He was in a relationship with Jane but they have just split up.

Does anyone know who the woman is second row down, third from the right with the severe dark bob? I know the face well but can't remember her character and it's really annoying me!

Doug and maybe Karl getting lost in the outback and hallucinating on mushrooms.
Did Karl have a collection of garden gnomes that some prankster kept nicking and sending photos of them around the world? Or have i imagined that...

I think she was called Hilary. But can’t remember how she fitted in to the family trees

The Kinskis were great, one of them (?Katya) looked Asian when none of the other family members did remotely (see also the Tanaka twins who look NOTHING alike )

Katya Kinski is now in highly acclaimed AppleTV show Severance. I love it when Neighbours actors pop up.

Hilary was a Robinson -Jim’s sister maybe?

who was the Robinson girl Lucy played by at least 2 actresses and never referred to again.

I remember Billy Kennedy asking to be called Bill to sound more grown up, going down to Lassiters to be served his first pint by Lou

Wasn’t there a hunky man called Sam who had a motorbike and went out with Annalise? I think she’d previously been out with Lou

Lucy faking being blind after getting stuck in a drain and Scott figuring out that she was faking is a storyline that I'm convinced I made up because no one seemed to remember it but me

Think it was the original Lucy with short dark hair

A weird scene with Luke I think and the Kennedys thought it was a nude shot and it was a close up of an elbow!

The arrival of the Kennedys.

Toadie having his hair cut. I remember the actor really wanted it.

Marlene leaving on her cruise and never coming back.

I remember this, she was blinded but her sight retuned and she didn't tell anyone

Terence Donovan (Doug) was sat with Madge in the finale last night when Susan talked about those that couldn't come back.

Gail and Paul had twins Robert and Cameron, Robert was evil and Cameron was run over by Max Hoyland (Izzy's brother) because he mistook him for Rob.

I always thought helen Daniels was the most lovely person. I used to wish she was part of my family. Very emotional last night seeing her again.

I think my mother had a bit of a thing for Jim R back in the 80s!
