I am confused as to why the other people were killed. It's not as if Scott has been gathering evidence in the woods to lead him to Daphne is it? Did he know all along it was her and if not how has he discovered that now?

historyofthefuture · 28/06/2022 12:29

Ooh I'd forgotten that the final episode is on tonight!! Loving this so much - feels like the first properly plotted, dense, well-acted, and beautifully shot drama we've had in an age. I've seen a comment elsewhere likening it to Mare of Eastwood (which I also loved) - less about 'whodunnit' (though also baffled as to Scott's motives), as how long-term effects ripple out through a community. Curious about whether Cindarella's parents are tangled up in any way in this, or if they're just stuck at an airport.

CuteOrangeElephant · 28/06/2022 13:03

I wonder if Scott didn't kill those people.

He's obviously on the run from the police because he has to go to jail. We've not actually seen him kill anyone have we?

I hope the BBC won't mess about tonight re Sherwood and tennis.

Thank** you re the recap @Blondeshavemorefun and the Guardian but it is hard to follow. So annoying to have missed Ep 5.
If I'd known I'd have changed over to BBC2.
Bet there's a lot more than just me annoyed with the switch.
I wrote to the BBC saying I would pay for the ability to watch the BBC IPlayer as would other non UK residents , no doubt .
Despite being rather broke, the BBC replied that they had no plans to open it up to wider use and more badly needed revenue.

Are you in the Netherlands by any chance? BBC first are showing it with a week delay.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2022 13:09

Will do, thank you and yes I'm in Ireland. We can get the BBC channels but can't get the BBC Iplayer

diddl · 28/06/2022 15:33

Thought the younger versions of St Clair and Kevin looked a lot like their older versions but didn't sound that similar.

The "two Kevins" are father & son.

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/06/2022 15:39

Cinderella's parents must be relevant or why have her at all? The relationship with the Sparrow's son hasn't been an important enough part of the plot.

Could Jenny have had a baby by Salisbury in 1985 who could have married the Jackson's son and had a teenager by now. It's possible but is it too far fetched and what would be the point? If she had been a local primary school teacher all that time people would know.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2022 17:00

Curious about whether Cindarella's parents are tangled up in any way in this, or if they're just stuck at an airport.

this. They may be important

and yes we havnt see. Him kill someone. May have not been him who shot Gary …..

Is it on bbc2 tonight

Selkiesarereal · 28/06/2022 20:59

Poised with the remote, not getting caught out by Wimbledon tonight!

hockeygrass · 28/06/2022 21:00

Are we going to have the channel hopping like last night? Currently tennis on BBC1!

hockeygrass · 28/06/2022 21:02

It's ok, Sherwood on BBC1!

cakeorwine · 28/06/2022 21:54

Oops

cakeorwine · 28/06/2022 22:01

Another series?

Not more murders....

PurpleWisteria · 28/06/2022 22:02

Wow!

florentina1 · 28/06/2022 22:03

Excellent acting from everyone.. I thought it was the best thing on to for ages

CaptainMyCaptain · 28/06/2022 22:03

Not sure it needs another series.

Quite realistic really that Scott Rowley didn't have a reason for any of it just wanted attention. Meanwhile all that history is raked up.

cakeorwine · 28/06/2022 22:04

That scene in the community centre

"They didn't care about us then, they don't care about us now"

So true

Selkiesarereal · 28/06/2022 22:07

Very powerful, really enjoyed it.

Will do, thank you and yes I'm in Ireland. We can get the BBC channels but can't get the BBC Iplayer

Get yourself a VPN and view iplayer that way.

Lottapianos · 28/06/2022 22:12

'Not sure it needs another series'

I agree. They probably should have left it there. A great series, great performances, so many layers

WobblyLondoner · 28/06/2022 22:15

So many of the best scenes in this were between the two sisters. That part about Julie watching Claire's wedding from the car park - so poignant.

Not so sure about the Keats autocorrect. Or that a school in an area where there probably isn't much spare cash to flash would have such a public donation system. But that's picky - I enjoyed it. What on earth will happen in Sherwood 2 though?!!!
