I assumed Murray got back to America and went home, he probably wants a hot bath and a quiet few days 🤣 there would be no reason for him to go to Hawkins as he doesn't even like the kids!

I know it’s sad. And at this point just a bit pathetic. The longer the drag it out the duller and more boring it is. I must say this series has been disappointing for me. The first series was the best bit of telly I’d seen in a while then this one was one of the worst.

I feel done with stranger things. Loved the first 2 series so much. 3 was like Happy Days with some monsters and series 4 was gratuitously drawn out and for me alternated between boring and annoying. It was like a kids programme with tired tropes - love and music conquering evil. I dont think I'm going to bother with the next series.

Kanaloa. I think season one was one of the best things I've seen on TV. It had everything. Also 2. And since then it's felt like a different show completely. I still love the characters, the acting, the music and the settings but the soul of it has gone for me.

Sadie Sink is an incredible actress. She's really shone this season.

Ended up in a week's quarantine, just finished watching all four seasons. I don't know how I could have missed it for so long!!

Agree with y'all, S1 was epic with its 80's vibe S2 was truly excellent especially Eleven's character development S3 was still fine with Billy's character and while the monster was over the top it didn't take itself too seriously.

S4 is a disaster: the film is taking itself too seriously, almost as if the creators had run out of steam. The story is weak and it was almost painfully boring to watch. A few enjoyable minutes per episode is not worth it.

First three seasons were great though. Especially if you enjoy rooting for other-than-white-male characters (as they are either spacefillers, or pathetic, or comic characters). The only celebrated character with those cursed genetics has got to be a beta male babysitter😊

We are massive Stranger Things fans, I prepared a days worth of 80s style food to have on the day we planned to binge watch.

But I was very disappointed with series 4. I think they have lost their way, got too big for their boots or something and are trying too hard. Too many characters meant so many of them ended up with bit parts. There were pointless stories that didn’t come together and I thought they were trying to replicate successes of other series that just didn’t work here. I not give examples as I am not sure if this is a spoiler free thread or not. 😊

We are watching season 1 from the beginning and it is so much better,lots of laugh out loud moments already and only on episode 3.
This is something that was seriously lacking from the last season.

To the creators: forget the focus groups, forget the money. Simply get back to the 80s spirit, whether it is E.T. or Stephen King or T doesn't matter. Forget all those focus groups telling you horror is good. These kids at NYU are only trying to look mature, nothing else.

What made "Stranger Things" great amongst all age groups is the 80s nostalgia and the non-denial of the ever present bullying element. The alternate reality of the "Upside Down" was useful to rebalance and create alternative heroes/heroinesses, nothing else.

I don't get the Hopper bit.
