Not sure what difference having Gregg and John in a different room actually makes. I'm not keen on the other contestants standing around watching, either. It just feels a bit weird and pointless.

Let me say it once and then I might be able to get over it. Gordon Ramsay is not an adequate substitute for Monica and Marcus. It was bad enough when he kept popping up in last years Strictly, he should stick to those awful programmes when he shouts at people with dirty kitchens, then I know where he is and can avoid him.

Waiting for them all to cook rather than handing out aprons as they go is a bit boring. In other versions I like the tension from later cooks as the pile of aprons shrinks.

What is the point of the tasting room when the chefs are presenting their own dishes? I thought it was going to be totally blind tasting so John and the Speaking Thumb didn't know who had made which dish.
