I keep hearing rumours but can't see anything set in stone. Does anyone know when the new series of PB starts?

Piece of trivia - did you know that the actor who played John Shelby (Joe Cole) and the actor who plays Michael Gray (Finn Cole) are brothers?

Am always stupidly taken aback when I see John/Joe acting in a role that requires a posh voice (Gangs of London, Ipcress File) and not his Peaky/Brummie voice!

I love Steven Graham (he lives in a town near me, apparently a lovely man and family) and thought he was excellent in Boardwalk Empire.

I wonder who would win a Nucky Thompson/Tommy Shelby showdown? Actually, wouldn't mind them joining forces and dominating the universe. Anyone who hasn't seen Boardwalk Empire, highly recommend.

And yes, if you see Cillian Murphy in other roles / being interviewed he has a normal mobile face. I think the more deadpan the face the harder they look (Michael and Alfie do it too for example).

(Joe Cole was wonderful in Gangs of London - though the outstanding performance was Paapa Essiedu’s. I feel lucky to be alive at a time when I could see him as Hamlet, in ‘I May Destroy You’ and in ‘GOL’. That is one gobsmackingly impressive body of work.)

Sadly I think there is too much style this series. You could lose 10 minutes per episode by cutting out lighting shots.

It’s really quite different this series.

I guess Covid reduced the big scenes but it’s pretty much all about Tommy.

With Ada popping up every so often to say ‘fuck’ a lot 😂

I know we all love Tommy but the lack of characters and constant moody shots are making it slow going

I agree about the dark shots making it slow going. I am also missing the "clan" feel what with Pol gone, Finn apparently written out, Arthur incapable of anything at all and Michael on the other side. It's all a bit too "brooding Tommy" at the moment.
