Is anyone watching this series? Have only seen the first episode but just love the kids. They can't hide their emotions at all liked Paul Hollywood as a stand in for Liam too, thought he was good with the kids.

I'm happy for any of the girls to win. They are all lovely and all deserve it. But I'd really love Lola to win, she so much younger than the others and just as talented.

Poor little Quique. That was a bit of a disaster.

I hadn’t clocked that they’re narrowing the age range for next time, but I’m glad. As pps have said, the older ones have so much more baking experience and massively more finesse just by virtue of those few extra years, so they’re pretty much guaranteed to produce better finished results (barring disasters). It always really bugs me that the little ones can’t even reach the ridiculously high freezer compartments - that’s so unfair for a start.

I love how they handle their baking disasters. Shows good resilience - which apparently young people lack.

Yes, Fraser is the most annoying one. I imagine it comes from always having succeeded at things he does, added to getting on so well he got Star Baker three times (as well as being one (the?) oldest there.

I don't think Kezia is boring. She's just a very London child who is not impressed by anything!

Kezia is just a bit more reserved than the others, but her technical skill is astounding for her age.

Not sure on what we've seen so far that Lola could win, but I never expected her to, at her age. Agree that narrowing the age range next year is a good idea. And please provide a little step for the fridge/freezers!

Well, Aisya or Kezia? I'm happy with either, or a joint win. Probably Kezia.

If they could bottle Lola's happiness and spirit they would make a fortune. What a gorgeous little girl. For the joy alone she should win - but I think it will be either of the other girls.

I think calling a child boring is uncalled for! Supposing she or her family look at this thread? She's very cool and calm, but boring?

Thoroughly well deserved win for Kezia, she didn't put a foot wrong in that final.

I wonder if in 10 years time Kezia will be the first contestant to win both JBO and GBBO?
