Anyone watching? Bench Seat Man has gone!

I know. Who's going to put a bath in the family living room now?

Whatsnewpussyhat · 24/05/2021 20:16

I'm watching.
Nice to see more choice of designers.

unfortunateevents · 24/05/2021 20:18

I'm in! Decent budget, DH already said they better have some in reserve though, if it's anything like the garden programme!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 24/05/2021 20:21

How would you block out the light in the lads bedroom of that wedge?
Roller blind?

Hepzibar · 24/05/2021 20:23

The bedroom only fits a bed in?

Halsall · 24/05/2021 20:24

You'd have to have some kind of way to block out the light, wouldn't you? I don't understand people who can sleep without any window coverings!

Bench seat man is gone Grin

WeAreTheHeroes · 24/05/2021 20:28

Curtains or a blind - I was figuring that out too! I think Laura is brilliant at liveable designs. I think the new fella is going to find that hard to follow.

WeAreTheHeroes · 24/05/2021 20:30

Oh - it's fancy lighting!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 24/05/2021 20:32

I wish they'd spent less time on the filler and more time showing the house actually being renovated. That last 10 minutes was pointless.

Halsall · 24/05/2021 20:34

Not sure I'm that keen on the new chap's design so far.

OP posts:
dannydyerismydad · 24/05/2021 20:35

That double height. I just think cobwebs.

Halsall · 24/05/2021 20:37

And difficulty decorating Hmm

OP posts:
WeAreTheHeroes · 24/05/2021 20:38

I prefer Laura's design.

WeAreTheHeroes · 24/05/2021 20:40

It's actually not that difficult to decorate - there's only a bit that needs a scaffold tower, unless you want to use a brush Wink

WeAreTheHeroes · 24/05/2021 20:42

I've got two different extending dusters. No spiders in our vaulted ceiling. Dull but true.

Noflora · 24/05/2021 20:42

The chap's living space is crammed, there is the back of the huge sofa, the long table, the island all blocking flow. They are impassable rectangles in a line.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 24/05/2021 20:45

How far do they extend? I've got a 15 ft skylight to clean Grin
WeAreTheHeroes · 24/05/2021 20:57

The longest, fully extended, is 280cm. Then you've got the length of arm plus a step ladder if needed.

Reg15notice · 24/05/2021 20:57

What a lovely family. I'm v jealous of their lux pad. Maybe when DC are older (and I'm finally tidy) we'll have sleek white walls and floor. So glad their son can finally stretch his legs 😀

exLtEveDallas · 24/05/2021 20:59

Those stairs are ridiculous, they won’t be white for long!

dannydyerismydad · 24/05/2021 21:01

They are such a sweet couple.

All the white shininess my family would destroy in no time. Along with my nerves.

Whatsnewpussyhat · 24/05/2021 21:01

It looks lovely but there is so many shiny surfaces to have to keep clean

Halsall · 24/05/2021 21:01

I can't believe ALL of that cost £150,000...surely more?

OP posts:
exLtEveDallas · 24/05/2021 21:04

I was thinking she was going to say £105k PLUS £150k
