Tahnks

BeHereNowx32 · 16/05/2021 16:14

I really liked series 3, but then went back to the start and series 1 is amazing. It’s so awkward 😆
Would love to see the Xmas episode again too. And the pilot episode! Where Julia first meets everyone and they go to Amanda’s house for food 😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/05/2021 17:25

Is the pilot not on I player

ElderMillennial · 16/05/2021 17:27

Isn't the pilot the first episode, in which case I think it is on iPlayer

Is that the one when she eats the spag Bol out of the bin??
ElderMillennial · 16/05/2021 17:50

Anyone looking for something else to watch, I've started Two Doors Down and I ding jr very entertaining.

AnyFucker · 16/05/2021 17:50

The Xmas episode is neither on I player or Netflix Sad

BeHereNowx32 · 16/05/2021 19:00

The first episode on iPlayer is Ivy’s birthday party, and no Xmas episode. Might check YouTube.

@selfieelf I think it is yeah! They only had food for the kids, and Julia was starving.

@ElderMillennial two doors down is good!

BeHereNowx32 · 16/05/2021 19:13

Oh, the pilot episode is on Netflix though!

ElderMillennial · 16/05/2021 20:25

@BeHereNowx32 I watched season 1 on Netflix so I did see the pilot and you're right that it starts from the next episode on BBC iPlayer

Just noticed the typos in my post - meant to say I find Two Doors Down very entertaining!

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 16/05/2021 21:24

The pilot is the best episode, or one of them, IMO.

I've told this story before but the spag bol thing actually happened to me GrinGrin I went for an all day play date from 11am (it was a birthday party that for some e reason lasted all day) didn't get fed then at 5pm the mum made spag bol, which had been on the invitation, but only for the kids! I was absolutely starving

Oh my god surely everyone was eating out of the bin!
FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 17/05/2021 00:29

@selfieelf no as they (the mums) were all going for a meal after the party. I wasn't invited 😂😂

TheWatersofMarch · 18/05/2021 05:24

Though I really liked series 3 the pilot and series one are really stand out best. I think the pilot was the best ep. There's a sort of dark absurdity. Series three more like a standard sitcom. Graham Lineham (Father Ted!) wrote the first series and I think it shows.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/05/2021 13:19

Agree s 3 more of sitcom

S1 funnier

And only 13 days left on iPlayer if people want to see

Onlinedilema · 18/05/2021 13:21

Just started watching this. Saw the Christmas special and it was hilarious.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/05/2021 14:28

Which no is the Xmas special

Didn't you ask for an omelette?!
cherrytree63 · 19/05/2021 08:12

I think the pilot is one of the best episodes, but didn't realise it was the pilot. I got very puzzled when I recorded all the episodes recently and it wasn't there, but found it on Netflix.
I don't think they're showing the Christmas special again, I had it saved but it's disappeared.
I've got up to the Mother's day episode of s3, I found bits of it really sad, I'd love Julia to kick Paul out and have some fun with the builder Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/05/2021 19:36

Anyone watching the nevers - Anne is in it

Sylvan92 · 22/05/2021 07:13

The Halloween one was the funniest. S3 wasn’t laugh out loud funny for most of it but I love how the characters and their relationships have developed. I wish I knew someone like Meg.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/05/2021 20:59

Just rewatched the pilot. On Netflix

Forgotten how funny it is

Spag bol

But also how much the big table hate Kelvin. Bless him

And they’ve only been friends from that episode

Now to hunt down the xmas special

ElderMillennial · 23/05/2021 21:04

Any recommendations after this?

I've been watching Two Doors Down (also on BBC) which is really good and I recommend it but I've watched all do that now too Grin

Haggisfish · 23/05/2021 21:29

There’s a really good series called uncle. Funny but poignant.
