I’m so looking forward to this. Just seen the trailer and can’t wait!

I’ve avoided dropping any spoilers as I know there will be people who haven’t seen the whole series yet, if there’s a spoiler thread I’m going try and find it!

On Iplayer there are 5 episodes but on ibdm there are 6.....

Sorry if I caused any excitement, just read on another thread that the 6th episode is the xmas special thats already been aired
MsTSwift · 11/05/2021 18:48

I can empathise with the giant year 6 dd! It does happen with girls that age 😁. Mine has size 8 feet and is taller than me

I've started a spoiler thread on telly addicts but can't link ( as I'm hopeless with tech and phones )

Wow, the Mother’s Day episode 💐❤️

Clawdy · 11/05/2021 19:57

I loved last night's episode but I think I could do without the cancer storyline.

mimirouge · 11/05/2021 20:20

Sharon Horgan doesn't seem to have been involved in the writing of series 3

Arrierttyclock · 11/05/2021 20:55

I do love this program but I wish the kids would talk more! It's just been the forgotten world book Day and surely the kids would of said something!

lanatolater2 · 11/05/2021 21:19

Oh I quite like that the kids don't say anything!

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 11/05/2021 21:30

God NO to the kids talking more - we already suffered enough with the precious little twats that we're the Outnumbered children. I like that this is about the adults.

Does anyone else feel like it's a running joke that the kids never speak?

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 11/05/2021 21:31

*precocious not precious

SingToTheSky · 11/05/2021 21:36

I like that the kids barely say a word and it’s all about the adults (and I say that as someone who also loves Outnumbered)

MsTSwift · 11/05/2021 21:46

Definitely best to keep kids in the background- who wants to watch other people’s kids in their downtime? when they do those phone ins with kids on radio 2 I dash for the off button

Marmaladeagain · 11/05/2021 21:48

yes I love that no kids in it, not a fan of Outnumbered.

yomommasmomma · 11/05/2021 21:51

100% the best thing is the kids don't feature. Sad that they went a bit soppy in this series and made Julia's husband less one dimensional, defo didn't need him appearing at the end.

First series still the best for me.

Maireas · 11/05/2021 22:02

Dear lord, keep the children peripheral.
Keep them shtum!

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 11/05/2021 22:02

@yomommasmomma no spoilers Mrs!

yomommasmomma · 11/05/2021 22:04
@yomommasmomma no spoilers Mrs!
Oh whoops sorry. Is there a thread where we can talk about what happened!? I am keen to see what others thought of it!

FrangipaniDeLaSqueegeeMop · 11/05/2021 22:11

@yomommasmomma yes I don't know how to do links but it's in telly addicts near the top right now

Rae36 · 12/05/2021 09:16

I've only watched the first 2 episodes but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I thought I would.
I don't really like any of the characters, which I know is sort of the point, but they all just annoy me. I don't feel sorry that x is dealing with y and a is dealing with b (sorry, trying to avoid spoilers), I don't really care one way or another. I don't think I'll watch any more. I'll look on the spoilers thread to see how things end up

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 12/05/2021 09:46

Too fucking right the kids should stay out of it. I teach all day, come home to my own little darlings and come 9pm actually want some child free humour Grin

rookiemere · 12/05/2021 09:58

I watched the first episode last night. I didn't like it- clunky and characters have descended into caricatures.

You can definitely tell that the writing team has changed. It's a shame as the Christmas special was pure comedy Gold, with just the right mixture of laughter with something warmer underneath.

Will keep watching but am not impressed.

the80sweregreat · 12/05/2021 11:47

Kevin is the best of a bad bunch.
' no mum left behind ' he made sure that Amanda was included in something ( can't remember what now not this series ?) and generally tries to be the better person and inclusive.

Dogatetheleftovers · 12/05/2021 17:16

I thought the series was good but it didn’t have the same feel as series 1 and 2. Then I noticed that Sharon Horgan is no longer writing so maybe that explains the difference. It was good but not as good as first two series.
