Anyone else watching? More plot holes than a colander. Could be such a good story, but the writing is so lazy. Yet another Kay Mellor drama featuring Gaynor Faye.

I'm enjoying it as well. Shakespeare it ain't, but I find it entertaining even if the whole storyline is totally implausible.

What's wrong with Colette's accent? I'm married to a Geordie and it sounds pretty authentic to me.

I don’t think I can watch it next week, it’s awful. Someone on here said it’s like a kids programme and it feels like that to me, like some kids made it and it should be on cbbc at best.
I found it quite upsetting last night when Kym Marsh was shouting how difficult it was about raising her son in front of him and he was upset and saying sorry.
I also can’t stand how they all keep saying ‘it were’, people do say that but it sounds so forced when it’s scripted rather than natural.

I cba w the cliched back stories - I just want Frank to get thrown in jail for his crap fraud.

Dh said he saw a tweet about it being devised by gcse drama students, and both my DCs did gcse drama so I totally get that!

GCSE? That explains a lot. Its simply not of a standard that merits its placement of 9pm on bbc1. I know its been a difficult year for production -Fawlty Towers at 8.30PM bbc1- but this is utterly awful.

It's a good accent I just wondered it was necessary and why she couldn't just do it in her own accent? I feel so aware that she's putting it on cos she hasn't got that accent in the in betweeners.

I dont think the gun was for her nan i think it was for her. In the first or second episode the nan said something about her dad getting out of prison soon and wanted her to visit, she looked shaken up by that. I think it was for her protection and nothing to do with her nan.

I cant even remember the characters name!

This is spot on, I think I only carried on watching because I couldn't really believe it was as bad as it was. Such dreadful acting.
