Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Ah ok, I have to say it would take several police/forensic scientists/pathologists to conceal a falsely ID'd body too.
I find Craig/Dot's voice to be identical and I often can't listen to his other pod 'Two shot' because it just sounds like creepy Dot! I also can't accept David Tennant as anyone other than a serial killer since he did 'Des' so I do have issues with realising they are acting!

Aw in fairness, if you haven’t watched it before the Ted-Steve-Kate trio wasn’t that obvious in e1 of series 6

I also suspect this is very relevant (A brillant spot GemmaFoster).

Jo definitely asked Buckells to sign off on Directed Surveillance in the opening scene. Kate later says they stood down for 3 hours because they needed Intrusive Authority to use high power lenses. Kate says "looks like the Super (buckells) messed up the paperwork" and Jo did not correct her

Brilliant spot indeed! But is she scuppering the operation, or is she just someone whooeske to own up to a mistake? Especially to a new junior, who she happens to fancy?

Yes, I wondered about Andi Osho playing dead photographs! LoD normally eschews crappy flashback type stuff though.

I was having a conversation about this with my boss today.

My boss does not like the Jo/Kelly McDonald's character. She said that the way the character speaks/mannerism etc are not what you are expect of a DSI/DCI (sp?)

And I kind of agree. The character is completely different to other previous top female police officers.
But, I listened to the Obsessed with Line Of Duty podcast and it was pointed out that the writer does everything on purpose.

So, this leads me to believe we are being lead into some sort of false sense of security with this character

I've just watched it again because DH has decided he might like LOD after all a bit late to the party!.

These are the new things I noticed/ things in response to some of the things I've read from pp:

⁃	When the Super didn’t give the go ahead it was after conflab with ? The FSC (couldn’t hear properly) Who is that? 
⁃	Will anything come of the fact one of the armed robbers was shot? Who did the shooting? If the shot hadn’t been fired, the original armed response team could have gone on to the raid.
⁃	Does it matter that the officer doing the obs kept walking away from the curtains? Also at one point he gave a big look at the person behind him with the screens
⁃	It wasn’t specified what the meeting was which Hastings was excluded from
⁃	In reference to a comment from pp about ‘Sarge’ and asking ‘how do you spell that’ it may have been a call with the handler, but equally in the next scene she said she’d been catching up with the surveillance team so equally it could have been a sarge on that team? 
⁃	to come of the person with gun shot wound 
⁃	Jo taking Kate’s hand - presumably there’s CCTV everywhere so is she trying to set Kate up? May be she doesn’t trust the former AC officer so she’s got something in the bank to use against her if needed a pretend affair but with CCTV evidence

Loving this thread too. And the Unforgotten one. I was gutted about not being able to binge them both as I’m so accustomed to box sets now - but it’s making it bearable and actually fun with all the wild theories between episodes.

Why is Kate wearing a big floooofy jumper? She's a DI, and was always sharply turned out in S5. Is she hiding H under that jumper?

Could she be meant to be pregnant?

Jo seemed really upset when the cops shot one of the hapless armed robbers - fuel for it being a set up where no one was meant to get hurt maybe?
