Anybody know when it starts? All I've found is this Radio Times article saying it will start before the end of March this year. www.radiotimes.com/tv/drama/line-of-duty-season-six-release-date/ Kelly Macdonald is due to guest star.

Can't wait!

(Apologies if there's another thread, I couldn't find one.)

Ryan killed John

They played him. Pretending a woman was being raped next door. He went out and Ryan followed him and sit his throat

I was omg when happened :(

Pomegranatespompom · 23/03/2021 21:40

Yes it was really traumatic and it was annoying that Lisa seemed to be in some sort of rehab programme when she'd been so vile.

AColdDuncanGoodhew · 23/03/2021 22:20

Just caught up with s6e01.

Not impressed at all. We rewatched S1-5 and were SO excited about s6 but that episode was rubbish!

Although I must say i’m chuffed about Kelly Macdonald. I wonder if Martin Compston will revert back to Scottish off set when she’s around Grin (I read he stays in character even when not on scene)

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 23/03/2021 22:25

Ah shite I forgot my LOD name!
@LaganinaBubble

There was something odd in that interaction between Steve and Farida. He said "that's beyond my jurisdiction" and started to walk away then Farida said "I'm on the hill" and Steve suddenly looked interested. It was as if "on the hill" was some kind of code. Kate is also "on the hill".Hmm
I think he was interested because that’s where Kate is.

I also thought that AC3 being ‘in charge’ of Polk Avenue was a sign of a status change for AC12. They were certainly responsible for it when investigating Roz Huntley and various Vice squad people like Cole and Prashad. So have they had things taken away from them. AC3 is Carmichael’s team I think.

ChequerBoard · 23/03/2021 22:51

Farida said 'I'm on the hill' meaning that she is now working out of Hillside Police Station aka the Hill.

If she was still at Polk Avenue station, she would have been out of Steve's jurisdiction as that station is covered by AC3. As she is at Hillside, AC12 can investigate.

Breaking out my new LoD screen name...

I just rewatched the final episode of Season 5 to help me understand Sundays episode better and that last interview was so incredibly satisfying.

From the moment Kate and Steve sat down, at exactly the same time, in perfect symmetry in front of Hastings up to...

"Gill Biggalowe you do not have to say anything, but anything you do say...."

Really excellent.

TedisnotH · 24/03/2021 00:25

Splendid work here, fellas. Sucking diesel.

FourWordsImMuNiTy · 24/03/2021 00:26

I rewatched series 5 over the week leading up to last Sunday and it was well worth it. Apart from anything else I’m possibly the only non-cop in the country who instantly remembered what a CHIS was (it was spelled out).

TedisnotH · 24/03/2021 00:35

Good man. You're the type I'd like on my team

TedisnotH · 24/03/2021 00:38

That wee gobshite Ryan killed Corbett. I'll get him, have no doubt. Bent coppers are what we seek out. Bent coppers.

theThreeofWeevils · 24/03/2021 00:38

Boring comment re covert human intelligence sources: they are what used to be called snouts, not grasses. Snouts pass on general intel to Plod at street level. Grasses are known villains who dob their associates in for their own benefit. We don't do plea bargaining here... Grin

TedisnotH · 24/03/2021 00:38

To the letter of the law. The letter!

TedisnotH · 24/03/2021 00:42

That wee gobshite Lisa was a grass. She got off, as did Gill. I don't approve of it. Not the letter of the law, at all.

CaptainMyCaptain · 24/03/2021 07:23

Lisa wasn't in witness protection she was seen talking to a group of young people trying to stop them entering a life of crime. Hmm

Gill was in witness protection with a new name and living in a council house in Scotland (I might have made the Scotland bit up).

Wildswimming3 · 24/03/2021 07:24

Lisa was shown talking to students in school about the danger of gangs at the end of series 5. Jill bigelow also in witness protection in a rundown coastal town

Pomegranatespompom · 24/03/2021 07:25

Gill had a huge fall from grace.

Wildswimming3 · 24/03/2021 07:25

Sorry crossed!

Buggerthebotox · 24/03/2021 07:28

Yes I think AC3 is Carmichael domain. I hope she's not back. I dislike AMM in the role (although I seem to be the only one.)

At least she can't be a Mason. Wink.

So Buckells reports to CC Osborne, Steve's nemesis from S1)?. Buckells has been round the houses a bit, and has risen up through the ranks despite his apparent incompetence and laziness. He took over from Gates in S1, Huntley in S4 and is now in charge at Hillside.
Do we know who Jo took this case over from?

storminabuttercup · 24/03/2021 07:47

Lisa must surely have a new identity?

Dailyhandtowelwash · 24/03/2021 07:48

Lisa is in witness protection too. It’s written under her name on the AC12 board of shame.

storminabuttercup · 24/03/2021 08:26

Thank you! I thought I'd seen that!

Is Osborne the one who wanted to cover up that shooting in S1?

Looking back that was a bloody stupid story line, I mean surely they'd check the address properly I know the number had fallen down but the way they spread out someone must have been standing right by the correct flat?

viques · 24/03/2021 08:45

At the end of 5 it said Lisa had a new identity and was involved in mentoring girls at risk of grooming into gang activity.
MagicSummer · 24/03/2021 08:46

Ryan must have finished training by now - will be interesting to see where he turns up, as I am sure he will as he has been in every series (I think).
