I saw a trailer for this the other evening but DC were running around and being loud so I missed most of it. Does anyone know when it’s starting please? I don’t want to miss it as it’s brilliant!

I think she jus5 had enough and her dad was driving her nuts and didn’t he nearly burn the kitchen down

Or was the another programme

FawnDrench · 23/02/2021 15:52

It's all to do with the pens!!
I noticed 2 close-ups of them -one when the chap signed the card to his mother, and the other when the woman therapist wrote something. I'm sure they were the same type.

Of course they could just be the pens the police cadets were all given on finishing at Hendon.

Nonsense I know, but you never can tell with these things...

Also why did they leave the arms on the victim with the hugely identifying tattoo. The head and hands were absent so the killer(s) did that for a reason -but why leave the tattoo?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2021 16:16

Was a fountain pen wasn’t it

PuppyMonkey · 23/02/2021 16:51

Just adore this programme. Fabulous, interesting stories and little bits like the year Marathon became Snickers.Grin

I’m looking forward to the flashback episodes set in 1990 - I wonder will we see Nicola who presumably started around the same year? Smile

PuppyMonkey · 23/02/2021 16:58

I think Nicola sorry Cassie was just also really traumatised by that previous case, the doctor guy being a serial killer and matter of factly confessing all his hideous crimes??

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2021 17:05

I would like a pension of £124 k !!

randomer · 23/02/2021 17:09

@Henrynextdoor, River was absolutley fantastic.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/02/2021 17:14

I thought £124K was the shortfall as she'd not quite completed her 30 years?

Daydreamsinglorioustechnicolor · 23/02/2021 17:38

Yes that was how much she'd lose.

dayswithaY · 23/02/2021 17:49

River! It was brilliant but they never did a second series did they?

Love Unforgotten, Cassie and Sunny are so gentle and clever. But the endings always drive me mad as they are usually completely implausible. Like the wife killing the husband's male lovers, not once but twice. And people all doing swapsies with each other's murders. I have learned not to analyse the ending just enjoy the journey.

I'm developing a crush on Sunny, his eyes are so kind but full of yearning. Ooh-er! Blush

ApolloandDaphne · 23/02/2021 18:02

I love Nicola Walker. She always seems so normal and utterly believable in her parts.

Woodlandbelle · 23/02/2021 18:06

I rewatched the last episode of series 3 to refresh. She needed a break so badly. So looking forward to next week's episode.

She probably knows the four suspects from when they trained together.
Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2021 18:17

She been in service for almost 30yrs

Matt dissapeared 30yrs ago

Will be on pen watch now 😄
NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/02/2021 19:00

I thought the card he signed was the significant thing (rather than the pen), hence why he hid it and took it to work to post.

colouringindoors · 23/02/2021 19:02

Wasn’t it to his mum
Violetroselily · 23/02/2021 19:11

I assume the missing man wasn't a copper too?

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/02/2021 19:12

No he was just in wrong place at wrong time

Assume he got hit

Daydreamsinglorioustechnicolor · 23/02/2021 19:21

No he asked the secretary to post it.

Sorry I made no sense. Yes it was a mothers day card which he got the secretary to post.
Clawdy · 23/02/2021 19:34

What job does the woman with the awful invalid mum do? I know she rides round on a bike, but I've forgotten.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/02/2021 19:36

@Clawdy not sure we know yet do we? I assumed she was an academic with them being in Cambridge but probably wrong.

Maybe it's the mums who are key to this season!

Clawdy · 23/02/2021 19:39

Ah, thanks, thought I'd missed it.
