It’s cold, dark and there’s a pandemic but one bright light is the new series of drag race tomorrow. The last series was so joyful and really put British drag back on the map. I hope this series is just as good Already love Ginny Lemon, who are your picks to win

I know Tayce won’t win, but I love them. Earlier in the series I didn’t think they were that good. But now I love her. I’m sure BBB will win. Tayce looks like she’d be so much fun on a night out.

That's DDs birthday sorted, they actually got out of bed Saturday before 9am because Tayce and Bimini were on Breakfast TV

I too adore Tayce. They are literal perfection. I wouldn't be unhappy with two winners in fairness - I'm sure they've done this in a previous series.

Though I echo a pp's post that I still think Asstina went out way too early. This final 4 for me is not reflective of the talent this season had. I'd gladly have dumped LED and LC for two other queens.

It’s a shame that Veronica couldn’t stay after lockdown. She would have been in the final 4 and I doubt LED or LC would still be there.

Veronica was my initial favourite and I was really disappointed for her when she had to withdraw. She had a bit of old school glamour that none of the others had and she was brilliant on the stage. I remember her sticking up for one of the other girls - Tia I think when she was getting put down. Forthright but fair.

She's getting a pass to the next one though, isn't she?

Yes, Veronica can join the next season. So far I don’t think she’s said if she is going to do it. She said she was leaving it up to the last minute. I was quite worried about her on the Queens in lockdown. She was really struggling mentally. I hope she recovers ok, the last Instagram post she seemed a bit wobbly. I think she stood a strong chance of winning so it must be so hard not to be there.

I thought it was the right top 3. DH asked me who I thought would win - I said "BBB deserves to win, I want Tayce to win, but I think LC will win because Ru has a massive soft spot for her." I feel like Ru decided a long time ago that LC was going to win. I don't really feel like she deserved it, but it's not called Chocolate's Drag Race! I did think that Tayce absolutely trashed the others in the performance and should have won if the decision was based just on tonight, but BBB deserved to win based on the past several weeks.

Is anyone else amazed at the differences in height? Tia and Ellie seem to tower over the others! Lovely to see Veronica Green again, A’Whora’s wig looks like a spare from the Starship Enterprise and WHY did Sister Sister have an axe...?

I would also agree that I don’t think LC was the right winner, IMO it should have been Bimini. The order of the top four should have been, in reverse order: Tayce, LC, Ellie Diamond, Bimini.

Tayce was amazing in the group dance, as was BBB (where the heck was it tucked?!) but for the final outfit I though Tayce didn't really push the boat out at all, I thought it was a bit bland, and that's a real shame because I love Tayce too (probably easier to tell you who I didn't love!).

I think for me LC was always my front runner. BBB was the dark horse who as they said came from being pretty rough and crap early doors. To be honest I've just loved the whole bloody lot of it, it's been an absolute gem in the dark gloomy weeks, I'm already feeling bereft that it won't be on next week but it gives me a good excuse to watch all the other drag race shows.

LC.. a one trick pony a very classic drag queen.
BBB is something a bit different, really refreshing.
Maybe Ru just wanted someone who would fit the mould. LC too panto dame for me.

I was quite surprised at that as I thought Bimini was a shoe in, but I agree that RuPaul had a soft spot for LC and I wonder how much it had to do with the prize being a TV show in Hollywood. As in RP thought LC would be the best to make a TV show around.
I liked LED more this week than on previous weeks, all in all it was great escapism from the tedium of life right now.

Absolutely agree with every word of this. I thought Bimini would win it, I wanted Tayce to win it, but it was not a surprise that Ru chose LC. I think Lawrence had the biggest emotional backstory, and Americans are absolute suckers for the 'poor me, I had such a difficult journey' candidates. Which is not to say LC didn't have a tough time of things, I am sure he did, but it seemed to sway Ru right from the start. He clearly loved LC right from the off - saying his name in a Scottish accent was a sure sign of his favouritism.

Anyway, good series. Even better than series one I thought.
