It’s cold, dark and there’s a pandemic but one bright light is the new series of drag race tomorrow. The last series was so joyful and really put British drag back on the map. I hope this series is just as good

Agree with all of this. I thought LC and A'W were making a totally unnecessary fuss about the order. Fine to express some initial disappointment but to still be harping on the next day

LC seemed to be expecting special treatment from LED, rather than complaining about gaming the system generally. It felt quite entitled.

I don't think the order makes a massive difference, especially with the lack of a real audience. LC missed out on a badge because of that long slow joke that took ages to get to the punchline and because BBB edged her in the runway outfit, but she still did well.
A'W was in trouble because her humour was very one note. (There's an uncensored version on YouTube, IMO it's funnier with the beeps!)

I was expecting LED to be in the lip sync, I wonder if they wanted to see A'W and T battle for the 'story'

Apparently A'W tweeted that she was upset during untuck because Ru asked everyone who they thought should go and LED said her. But she's been saying LED doesn't have a badge and will go next so I'm not that sympathetic!

I do think LED will go next, s/he seems really lovely and a talented seamstress but I don't think is up there with the others in terms of experience and flair.

I think I'm wanting Tayce to win, but think it'll probably be BBB.

I was really shocked that A'W went. Maybe not after seeing the challenge but I'd always seen her as a real contender for the final. It reminds you that this competition is about versatility as well as just looking great. Tayce is hilarious in the off camera bits!

Really shocked that LED got so much stick for the order, it's a competition??? Why wouldn't you give yourself an edge if you could? I do think she's not quite at the same level as the others and fully expect her to go next week but hard not to appreciate her resilience given her home life, especially given she's so young!

I think the fact that LED is younger too and quite inexperienced in the drag world makes me sympathise with them more as I feel the others see her as an easy target. The fact that Tayce accepted it was a competition and didn't immediately side with bezzie mate Awhora showed a real maturity too that impressed me.

BBB and Tayce don't have a bad bone in their body and that's quite refreshing. I don't mind bitchiness, I guess it comes with the territory. But all out bullying is just not on. Am glad Awhora left. They treated Tia like shit for weeks earlier in the competition. And I hope LC fucks off next.

Abso-bloody-lutely - I've seen it before, a victim becomes a bully. I'm immensely sorry for anyone who gets bullied, but that doesn't excuse that behaviour from them. In fact, of all people, you'd think they'd know how awful it is to be on the receiving end.

I don't think Lawrence ever got over not being the only Scottish queen, she looked really hacked off when Ellie Diamond walked in - it came across that she had planned a lot of 'Scot-centred' humour which wouldn't work with another Scot in the room.

That coupled with all the 'I'm a stalwart of the Scottish scene/I'm Scottish drag royalty' and it really seemed that she expected Ellie to be subordinate to her, and reacted very badly when she didn't get her way.

SPOILER ALERT

Dawn was utterly wonderful! I think it should have been Ellie and Awhora in the lip-sync. I have a feeling it was a decision based on having the most drama - the drama of Tayce and Awhora lip-syncing against each other, and then the drama that will obviously happen with Ellie still being there next week with LC. Getting quite bored of LC now I must say. BBB has come the furthest by a long way, but I do have a little soft spot for Tayce - especially after not joining in the bitching about Ellie last night.

It's all getting down the wire now!

I love LC but getting shitty about the running order was pointless - LED won the challenge so got to choose - and whichever of them won they would have shuffled the order to their advantage, it was the whole point. I think lessons in how to take things gracefully are needed by LC. As it was I'd have had Tayce win that challenge!

BBB was so under my radar in the early shows but I'd now be really happy if they won - has really gone with their own spin on so many things and separated themselves from the pack. Their look for the stand up was just jaw dropping, gorgeous, and the catwalk again another stylish (high fashion) but quirky look . In fact I'm starting to think it would be a bloody tragedy if they don't win.

They do like Ellie but their view is that she does not have a badge, so by now should be up for the chop. Awhora had never been bottom 2, possibly even 3, and had 2 badges. Her look was stronger with props, whereas Ellie once again had a top and A-line skirt, yet again.
They said it was sucky that Tayce and Awhora had to compete, Awhora probably didn't try as hard and not did Tayce compared with the week before.
We saw the unedited comedy routine and frankly, what an over reaction, worse had been said in the Werk Room.
So now, DD would like Ellie to naff off. They want Bimini to win so all is not lost.

As an aside, did anyone see Nicola from Derry Girls do a version of Bimini's bit in UKHun, in black and white and a Shakespearean style? Bloody hilarious.

No, not at all. It was a possible explanation, not an excuse. Lawrence's behaviour was completely unacceptable, especially given that Ellie herself had some horrible experiences growing up.

But that's still the point... winning the task afforded them that right. BBB and Tayce didn't have a problem with the line up. But then they're not insecure.

Surely Ellie “putting herself at the advantage” and “putting others at a disadvantage” are pretty much the same thing? And I don’t believe for one moment that Lawrence or A’Whora wouldn’t have done the same.

I’m not sure the GT interview has improved my view of A’Whora any. She sounds like extremely hard work.

I used to really like LC, but all the drama has really put me off!! I think Ellie has done nothing wrong, I feel LC has taken it personally because he saw himself as older sibling type role to Ellie. So like Ellie 'betrayed' him by not deferring to him, but he didn't need the 'help' of a good slot in the comedy show.

Drag queens can be bitchy, but there's bitchy and there's just being nasty. So Bianca del rio could throw a massive a massive amount of shade, but did it with a smile and a wink, Darian lake was just plain nasty. I feel its the same here, LC is being nasty, but Tayce is such a funny bitch, she looks like so much fun to do drinking with!

Tayce was not dressed as a pantomime dame, she looked very pretty, but LC and Ellie both stormed that runway!

Very tough episode to judge, I don't think anyone was bad.
