Is anyone else looking forward to this? Once it finishes, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier starts, and then Louise after that. After 2020 being a Marvel-less year I am quite excited for a big dose of MCU escapism.

I’m really enjoying this and glad there’s a thread.
After episode 4 I rewatched the previous episodes for clues and things I’d missed.
I think the people of Westview have some awareness of what’s going on. For example Mrs Hart looking at Wanda saying ‘stop it’. She knows Wanda is making things happen. And Mr Hart asking quite aggressively “why did you come here?”
The scene with Dottie was also interesting
Wanda “I mean you no harm”
Dottie “I don’t believe you”
How much are they aware and are playing along so they don’t upset Wanda?
I love that Darcy and the others are figuring it out like we are as viewers.
I’m trying to avoid spoilers online but also desperately want to know what happens next!

On the hexagons front, we rewatched the first half of Captain Marvel, and the first thing I noticed was that Hala, the Kree homeworld, was full of hexagons everywhere. Probably irrelevant and just that hexagons are cool.

@NovemberNameChangeYeahBaby

I think the twins will stay - i know clothes aren't the same but Monica was still in her 70s outfit when she got thrown out , and the piece of the guide rope that crossed the barrier stayed coloured when it got wound back in. So I reckon she's genuinely altering reality and the twins are really real.
I thought the end of the guide rope looked like a skipping rope! It's quite interesting how the interventions are being changed into less offensive things - like the drone becomes a toy helicopter?

So many layers. I know I'm going to end up obsessing over something that I'm convinced means something else but in reality is just a plant pot Grin

As an aside, how do you pronounce ‘WandaVision’? Cos I keep saying “One-division” and DP says that’s wrong but he says “Wanda Vision” and I don’t think that’s right either

Flambola · 31/01/2021 13:25

In the comics, Scarlet Witch is powerful enough to change the reality of the entire universe, so I had an inkling of what was going on. I found the first three episodes incredibly dull, but enjoyed the 4th. I just don’t find Wanda and Vision interesting in the MCU!

grandmasterstitch · 31/01/2021 22:22

Just caught up with episode 4. I'm glad they're released once a week but also mad they're only released once a week 😂

newlabelwriter · 31/01/2021 22:45

Hexagons also in Guardians of the Galaxy.. I’ve no idea what they mean though 🤷‍♀️

I'm not sure, but now singing Marvel's "Wanda Vision" to the 1980s DC "Wonder Woman" theme tune..
turnitonagain · 01/02/2021 12:40

There’s no pause in it. It’s meant to sound like “television.” I heard an interview with Elizabeth Olsen and that’s how she said it.

DanielODonkey · 01/02/2021 16:12

Just watched Ant Man and the Wasp and there were hexagons in the lab as screens (?) Or at least displays when looking for Wasp in the quantum realm. All inter connected triangles that moved around.

I think they were hexagons. Have to admit I wasn't paying huge attention to shapes and numbers of sides last week when I was supervising DD and her homeschool shape work...

I read somewhere it’s a take on Wanda’s Vision. Which may point in which way the series is heading

lovecraftcounty · 02/02/2021 23:10

@NovemberNameChangeYeahBaby I hope the twins dont stay as I dont like the idea of Wanda magically making 2 superpowered people on her own seems too powerful even for her .its not like making regular children as her husband is a dead robot.

LemonViolet · 02/02/2021 23:21

its not like making regular children as her husband is a dead robot.
I don’t know why (emotional sad day what with everything I guess) but that made me proper laugh out loud! Thankyou Smile

captainpantbeard · 04/02/2021 11:28

I say it to rhyme with Wonkavision

newlabelwriter · 05/02/2021 09:03

Can’t wait. It’s like a genuine family event these days 😉

TheDrsDocMartens · 05/02/2021 09:05

We do family time too. Dd3 gets so excited but they cries at the end of the episode as she doesn’t like it ending

Jasmin82 · 05/02/2021 09:14

Just watched the latest episode and it’s confirmed some thoughts I had. I don’t want to wait a week for the next episode.

AmySosa · 05/02/2021 09:49

Oh that was so good.

I watch it first thing and then rewatch with DH in the evening. It’s even better on the second viewing, gives me a chance to really look for things.

NovemberNameChangeYeahBaby · 05/02/2021 09:55

I've just watched it on my phone Blush didn't want to wait. Will watch it again on the big TV with DH tonight. I have a lot of questions! But I'll not post anything here until tomorrow, so people have a chance to watch it. Bloody fantastic episode though, already can't wait for next week.

Ooh, just came across this thread. Really looking forward to watching tonight. My 10yo is loving it and we're going mad with theories!
I'm only going referencing stuff thats actually happened so no spoilers unless my theory is right which I think it is, but my theory is....
....
....
I think this is all coming back to Wanda trying to bring Vision back to life using her powers.
I think that we had a massive clue in the first few lines of the show and then from a comment from Darcy.
"My wife with her flying saucers" - refers to Wanda's powers coming from the Tesseract aka Space Stone. Later Darcy mentions picking up massive cosmic radiation aka that which supposedly came from the big bang and created all the infinity stones (including Vision's mind stone)
"My husband and his indestructible head" - except the last time we saw Vision, his head was destroyed so its not quite indestructible, is it?
I think this is all a big pointer to Wanda using the source of her powers to replicate the mind stone.
There'll be someone else involved, a villain perhaps but I'm not sure who.

Mrsjayy · 05/02/2021 13:26

Shock. That is all .!
