Is anyone else looking forward to this? Once it finishes, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier starts, and then Louise after that. After 2020 being a Marvel-less year I am quite excited for a big dose of MCU escapism.

Not seen any reference to Wanda in future series/films though so will she sacrifice herself for everyone else?

Wanda is in the next Dr Strange film. Apparently the events in WandaVision lead directly to Multiverse Of Madness (Dr Strange 2).

Whatsnewpussyhat · 27/02/2021 15:11

Phew. Wanda lives!
If the cast list is true then Ryan Reynolds is in it. Does that mean Deadpool is part of it as well as the 3 spiderman?

Mrsjayy · 27/02/2021 15:36

If Deadpool is going to be in Dr strange they are going to have to water him down a smidge 😀

AlwaysLatte · 27/02/2021 15:41

My 13 year old son loves it!

Evening all. That episode was amazing - and I thought we had another two episodes so I’m gutted that there is only one more Sad

This episode made me well up - I didn’t full-on cry for DS’s sake! Gosh Elizabeth Olsen is amazing and I thought the writing in this was brilliant.
DS and I rewatched Ultron last week and he thought Wanda had said they were all sitting round the table when the bomb hit her family in Sokovia as opposed to watching TV, but I’m not necessarily going to go back and check that.

I thought it was interesting that Agnes seemed to think that Wanda was a magical witch (as opposed to an infinity stone-made ‘witch’) and kept trying to find out what made her use her powers in a big way for the first time - sorry, I’ve not phrased that well but I hope you see what I mean. But then the sceptre flashback made her realise it was the stone hat gave her her powers.

How has Agnes lived this long? Is ‘proper magic’ now a thing in Marvel? So many questions - loved it!!

I'm suspecting Wanda/Scarlet Witch will be the villain in Multiverse Of Madness. I'm wondering if Agatha does something to the twins to make Wanda seek revenge on all sorcerers, including Dr Strange.

Can't wait for the next episode and really hoping my above theory is incorrect as I'd love a happy ending!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 27/02/2021 22:25

The baddie in dr strange 2 is meant to be chiwetel ejiofor character who switched from goodie to baddie at the end of film 1?

Don't know whose side Wanda will be on though!

Whatsnewpussyhat · 27/02/2021 22:27

Like Agatha, he too was pissed that someone else was more powerful than him so quickly after his years and years of learning 😄

EmotionallyEncumbered · 27/02/2021 22:43

That makes sense, he didn't like that Dr Strange was 'breaking the rules' did he? Can't remember properly, will have to rewatch before the next film is released!

APurpleSquirrel · 27/02/2021 23:26

Just rewatched Ultron - very good.
I think Wanda already had witch/magic abilities but the mind stone just magnified & enhanced them - that was what Agatha said I think. Otherwise Wanda wouldn't have been able to stand & absorb the stone's energy. As the scientists said all the previous participants had died. So clearly there was something unique about Wanda & Pietro's dna etc that made them able to tolerate the stone.
Was interesting to watch how Wanda reacted when Pietro died - she flung out her red magic in grief & pain & destroyed the Ultrons - similar to, but on a much smaller scale to what she's done in WandaVision.
Magic does exist in the MCU as evidenced by Dr Strange & the others so taking that to natural witches etc seems expected.

I definitely think there will be a tie in with the X-Men, my money is on Ian Mckellen appearing as Magneto. I’m VERY excited!

LemonViolet · 28/02/2021 04:01

We’ve had a mega crazy work week so was only able to catch up with WV last night and watched it twice in a row immediately. Very good although a slightly frustrating change of pace and feels like there is so much to cram into a final episode.

So “fake Pietro” Agatha said was a “cristalline illusion” or something, and was basically her spy/mind control drone.... which makes so much sense when you rewatch the scenes between Wanda and Pietro in the Halloween episode, that is basically Agatha talking, and that’s how Pietro knows so much about what is happening in Westview (oh, I’ve just noticed WV-Wandavision-Westview! Nothing is wastedSmile).
But whomever Agatha used to be Fietro - still has super speedster ability. So I think it can still be X-Quicksilver she’s pulled from the X-Universe - perhaps unwittingly.

WTF is Hayward up to? Is he just another evil human up to no good or is he something or someone else? He was manipulating Wanda to use her powers, was that just so she’d resurrect Vision for him, or was that more?

And where was Monica and Pietro/Fietro whilst all this was happening in Agatha’s basement? Surely Vision has had time to get there by now? Darcy is probably still stuck watching a herd of sheep cross the road or something (I dunno, do they have sheep in USA? that’s what would block the road over here!)

Maybe the ‘soul’ of our vision (made up of mind stone energy from Wanda apparently) can inhabit the White Vision (WV!)/Cataract body.... but then, is Vision really Vision? If Wanda created him, then is he just her memories/recollection/idealised version of him made real and autonomous, rather than actually himself. Is he actually made of vibranium, did she literally create the most valuable rare metal on earth. Or does he just look like that.

So many questions!

LemonViolet · 28/02/2021 04:05

Oh and is Dottie really nothing to do with anything? Just another Westview resident playing a role.

In Ultron Pietro says that they were having dinner when the bomb hit but DS and I decided to let it go...

DS is 10 and although he hasn’t a clue about the sitcoms he’s enjoyed it from the start and we’ve had great fun discussing theories and stories at length. He is an information sponge and will remember tiny details.

Sparticle · 28/02/2021 08:00

Didn’t Hayward say that Wanda had taken Vision’s body in earlier episodes, whereas we now know she clearly didn’t? I don’t trust that man at all!

We are hoping to move house on Friday (that’s a whole other thread... 😣) so I have no idea how I’m going to watch the last episode with DS - argh, I’m not sure watching it on an iPad tethered to my mobile phone will cut it!

TheDrsDocMartens · 28/02/2021 08:38

I thought it implied that Wanda/Pietro were mutants and the mind stone enhanced them so double whammy. Hence her power being so strong,

Sokovianfortuneteller · 28/02/2021 08:40

I’ve rewatched Ultron and Dr Strange! Disney really know what they’re doing with their weekly release of WandaVision- it’s driving us to other content as well as creating hype for the series.

I’m not sure what to think about Agatha. On one hand I think they’ve made her an irredeemable villain by having her kill poor Sparky and the way she had the twins captured at the end. But, on the other hand, she seems to have some sympathy for Wanda and could still end up being a mentor figure to help her control her powers. And if they want us to hate Agatha why give her such a great theme tune?! 😆

Thoughts on Fietro- if he’s completely fake ie just some random, then why cast that actor? He must be Peter from another universe/ the X men films. So he’s not a bad guy. Will he help Wanda? Will he stay in this universe and build some kind of brotherly relationship with her? Am I clutching at straws because I want Wanda to be happy and have her family back?? 😂

JM10 · 28/02/2021 09:36

Marvel have said that Wandavision, Spiderman No Way Home and Dr Strange and the multiverse of madness will act as a trilogy. The Spiderman name suggests maybe they could get trapped in another reality, but other than that I can't see how it would fit in.

I'm really enjoying wandavision and I can't believe there is only a week left.

I think there are signs that Agatha could go on to mentor Wanda. She's clearly surprised that Wanda doesn't know things she thinks are fairly simple magic. As pps have said, I'm not sure she's bad, she just wants to understand how Wanda is doing what she's doing.

KatherineJaneway · 28/02/2021 09:41

I wanted things to end well but I saw a video on YouTube that predicts it will end with Vision still dead, her kids gone and the end of the show sees her moving past her grief and persevering.

I want Vision back.

iklboo · 28/02/2021 11:46

I thought it implied that Wanda/Pietro were mutants and the mind stone enhanced them so double whammy. Hence her power being so strong,

Wanda & Pietro are supposed to really be Magneto's children.

Thoughts on Fietro- if he’s completely fake ie just some random, then why cast that actor? He must be Peter from another universe/ the X men films.

Evan Peters is Quicksilver in the X-Men films, recently acquired by Disney. Also the much better version of the character.

grandmasterstitch · 28/02/2021 12:41

I knew Pietro wasn't up to anything good! He was asking too many questions. I enjoyed getting Wanda's backstory in this episode, it was like age of ultron from a different angle. I'm also not convinced Agatha is all bad. Either that or she's being manipulated by someone else

Whatsnewpussyhat · 28/02/2021 12:59

If she has to choose to remove the hex to do what is right then she must know that vision will disappear and probably the kids.

Perhaps disney will used the multiverse to bring back the older versions of the twins. They were somehow reincarnated in the comics.

The original Avengers aren't getting any younger and their arc is finished, so unless they recast and start again they must find new story streams or prequels/origin stories like black widow.

We've recently watched Agent Carter on Disney+ I loved the original Jarvis character and seeing the person who inspired Tony's Jarvis A.I. then vision.
Love that they kept the accent.
