Is anyone else looking forward to this? Once it finishes, The Falcon And The Winter Soldier starts, and then Louise after that. After 2020 being a Marvel-less year I am quite excited for a big dose of MCU escapism.

That was a very emotional episode. Poor Wanda. I really want her to have a happy ending. And I don’t just mean ‘closure and acceptance that Vision is dead so that she can move on’.
I want her to have a full fairytale style happily ever after. She’s lost everyone in her life. She deserves to be happy!
And I want something really horrible to happen to Hayward 🤬😡

lovecraftcounty · 27/02/2021 08:35

If wanda made her vision out of thin air then her kids must be fake too.
Also is Ralph even real?

KatherineJaneway · 27/02/2021 09:00

Brilliant episode.

Mid credits scene is very interesting.

exLtEveDallas · 27/02/2021 09:01

I’m still sad this morning. What an emotional episode. Elizabeth Olsen deserves ALL the Emmy’s.

CannotOperateOnThisFailure · 27/02/2021 09:07

@captainpantbeard

There’ll be some kind of Vision vs Vision fight
Perhaps Paul Bettany was trolling us all along and this fantastic amazing actor he's always wanted to work with is ...... himself.
TheDrsDocMartens · 27/02/2021 09:16

I assumed T’Challa and Shuri gone meant Wakanda was a bit chaotic and no one dealt with Visions body but yes the rest were there weren’t they.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 27/02/2021 09:41

That's what read somewhere else..makes sense haha! Hope it's a longer episode.. lots to get through

@MrsToddsShortcut

Took a bit of mind bending to remind myself that in emotional terms Wanda and Monica have just lost Vision and Maria, but that it is actually 5 years after Vision was killed. so Sword have actually had him for 5 years.

Although, one thing that occurred to me was how Sword recovered him. I had always assumed he was (technically) the property of Stark Industries?

I know that after the snap at the end of Infinity War everyone was in shock, but Cap & Natasha, Bruce, Rhodey, etc were still around, and Tony came back. Did none of them try to recover Vision? I'm probably overthinking this a bit, but I assumed Stark Industries would want to try and hang on to him or would they just be overruled by Sword?

I must admit to being quite weepy at numerous points today. And the most beautiful historical line about grief. I don't want this to end. It has such a strong emotional heart.

They could have been thinking that his remains needed to be somewhere 'safe' so they couldn't be used for nefarious purposes and believed that Sword was that place.

She is great isn't she. Poor Wanda nobody helped her Sad

NovemberNameChangeYeahBaby · 27/02/2021 10:41

SHIELD were always up for pinching tech, I imagine SWORD are much the same. Of course in 5 years they had plenty of time to go through legal processes to claim Visions body - not that they have an obvious claim; the programming was Tony Stark's JARVIS program, and the vibranium was stolen by Ultron from Klaw, who had stolen it from the Wakandans.

When did Vision buy a plot of land? At the start of Infinity War he and Wanda were only at the "are we getting serious?" stage. Maybe at the same time he was drafting his will? He had a day or two travelling from Scotland to New Jersey then Wakanda.

I agree with the poster above. Something terrible needs to happen to Hayward. I always chose to believe that when Tony Stark did his snap, he deliberately left Thanos to be the last one to be dusted so he could see in detail how he'd failed; something like that would be nice.

White Vision is apparently a thing in the comics. (I'm quite often surprised by how much material they lift from the comics, which i know is totally unreasonable!) He was Vision but without the emotion. How devastating for Wanda if she loses Real Vision, then Westview Vision (and children?) and then there's this creature flying round with Visions body and face and voice but is incapable of loving her 😭

I did miss Monica Jimmy and Darcy this week.

We. Are now assuming that the twins. Were mutants and that is why they absorbed the experiment and didn't die. Soo Wanda is an enhanced mutant !

Mrsjayy · 27/02/2021 10:53

and then there's this creature flying round with Visions body and face and voice but is incapable of loving her😭

Oh no that would be awful Sad

It's how they make sure the fans are happy and they keep canon. It's not 'lifting' as such, more like they're introducing comic stuff to people who don't normally read them. Then go out & buy them Grin

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 27/02/2021 12:13

I cant feel you Sad she needs some happiness! Hasnt had any in any film really!

Wonder how it leads onto another thing from here...hmmm.

Mrsjayy · 27/02/2021 12:17

It's an alternate reality so her kids are really there .

captainpantbeard · 27/02/2021 12:19

The latest episode has broken me. The series is one of the best things I’ve ever seen on TV.

Watched Age of Ultron again this morning with DS and I just burst into tears when Vision rescued Wanda at the end. The start of it all!

middleager · 27/02/2021 12:31

@Whatsnewpussyhat

I found it quite dull tbh. Clearly they needed to set the scene and show how it got to this point but it felt a bit flat.

Next week is going to be mega though.

I felt the same, but I might rewatch it.

Looking forward to next week's showdown. Wanda Vs Agatha and Vision Vs Vision.

Totallyfedup1979 · 27/02/2021 12:32

I am loving WandaVision!

My son just said to me that her kids will also die...I said they can’t do that! He said ‘that’s what happened in the comics’. I hope he’s wrong and Disney adjust that bit.
I’m not sure Wanda will get a happy ending because that’s not very ‘Marvel’ at the moment. Whatever they do will have to link into future movies, so I think a simplistic happy end is out of the question.
I hope I’m wrong.

Sokovianfortuneteller · 27/02/2021 12:56

I was doing my usual weekly reading of everything about WandaVison and I saw something that said that the last time Wanda saw her parents they were on the sofa watching TV. Which is how she ended the early episodes of WandaVison. That all she wants! Just to snuggle on the sofa with the man (robot?) she loves! 😭

I may be over invested. I know they’re not real honest! But her acting is soooo good you can’t help it!

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 27/02/2021 13:14

Maybe that one can give her a happy ending.. or go into it happy lol.

NovemberNameChangeYeahBaby · 27/02/2021 13:34

I would disagree about the characters not getting happy endings. Of the original Avengers:
Tony Stark died, yes, but he died knowing his wife and child were safe and had been well loved and he had, effectively, atoned for his earlier fuck ups and saved humanity. Doing The Right Thing was his big motivator from day 1.
Cap got to live a peaceful life with Peggy.
Nat saved her best friend and died a heroic death 'balancing the ledger', which was her big motivator. Let's face it, she was never going to retire and grow old with a labrador so that was a pretty good ending for her.
Hawkeye gets to go back to his family on the farm.
Banner finally made his peace with Hulk and doesn't have to live in fear and isolation any more.
Thor isn't at his ending, but he's in a good place. He never really wanted to be king, he wanted to go gallivanting round having adventures with his friends at the start of Thor and is currently gallivanting with the GotG.

All the other characters are still in the start or middle of their arcs so have a world of suffering to live through before they get the ending appropriate to them. So Wanda may yet get her happy ending. Just not any time soon, I don't think.

My son just said to me that her kids will also die...I said they can’t do that! He said ‘that’s what happened in the comics’. I hope he’s wrong and Disney adjust that bit

From what I've read online, in the comics the twins were made from/by Mephisto and reabsorbed by him. Agatha, Wanda's mentor in the comics then erases her memory of them.
They are then somehow reincarnated as they are in the young avengers. So is vision, young loki and I think monica (she seems to have various hero names. Spectrum/Photon/miss marvel?)
There's also she hulk which there's meant to be an upcoming series being made.

Disney need wiccan and speed (billy and tommy) to be around for the reboot and I can see them aging themselves to teens next week to help in the fight. Especially if wiccan is as powerful as his mum.

We know that wanda's Vision can't survive outside the bubble. She produced him from her energy (looked like it was also the mind stone that gave her her powers too) so his consciousness is real at least.

We also know there is a new body for him to potentially use/take over so good chance he might make it.

Not seen any reference to Wanda in future series/films though so will she sacrifice herself for everyone else?

I'm also not yet convinced Agatha is pure evil, self serving yes. She was attracted to the massive magical event and wants to unlock the reason for Wanda's power because she wants to be able to do it herself.
She didn't set it up, just taking advantage of the situation. Hayward doesn't know who she is.
The question is whether Hayward himself is the baddie or if he's just working for someone else. He NEEDED wanda to get vision's 'brain' back. He told her he couldn't give the body of a sentient weapon to someone powerful enough to bring him back. He KNEW she could do that before she did. She can't bring back dead people but 'vision' was energy. His body rebuildable.

I'm secretly hoping there is a bigger baddie, maybe Mephisto (Ralph?) and that Agatha will have to help stop him. Grin

I also overthink everything 😂

Whatsnewpussyhat · 27/02/2021 14:17

There's also a young Hawkeye which looks most likely to be Clint's eldest daughter.
(Note that they are doing target practice when the snap happens)

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 27/02/2021 14:18

I was a total sobbing wreck after that episode. It was the line about grief that finished me

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 27/02/2021 14:21

There has been rumours to how this links in to future things over last few weeks so ooo interesting as to how..lots of things to tie up..

The scene watching TV together Sad wasn't sure about this at episode one but wow..
