Thurs at 9 Richard returns
Can we figure out how they are going to pull this off given that he had an ice pick in his chest when we last saw himGrin
My guess. It was stated and he has been undercover for the last 3/4 years or however long it has been

I assumed they were going to meet later.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 05/02/2021 08:47

I thought they were just very distracted by the fingerprints, then going to the Commisioner, deciding that Florence was off to England, and dropping her off at the airport.

And by the time all that was sorted, the bar had closed (or it had gone completely out of his head.)

feellikezerobucks · 05/02/2021 08:50

Love this thread and we have DIP on all the time...even my 6 yo DD knows who's done every murder 🤣

Glad I read it's on again tonight as I too thought it was next week!

Also, do any of you watch Mallorca Files...very similar, but with British female and German male, but a good alternative to DIP!

I really hope Catherine doesn't die...I'm also worried I might cry when I see Richard 🤦🏽‍♀️

SoupDragon · 05/02/2021 08:58

Catherine being injured was just a plot mechanism to bring Camille back I think. I doubt they intend to kill her off at all.

I don't think her information was made out to be urgent in the sense that it needed to be heard right now so it's probably understandable it got "forgotten". It also ties in with her now being unconscious and unable to tell them.

I don't think I've never seen them rushing urgently to a crime scene in the jeep with sirens and lights going before. It looked like a proper police drama!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 05/02/2021 09:41

We commented on that too! I think it was particularly noticeable because it's quite unusual for them to go out in the dark like that.

notacooldad · 05/02/2021 09:48

Normally I would totally agree with you but it has really annoyed me that Neville had to put trousers on to go investigate the murder scene while Florence was in short shorts!
I think it was just the commissioner being arsey with Neville. He goes out of his way to make him uncomfortable!😂

tofuschnitzel · 05/02/2021 10:56

@Beefstew

I love DIP, but one thing drives me mad in it is the way Florence is dressed, shorts and vest tops for a professional police officer? Surely there'd be some sort of dress code even in the Caribbean?
I find this frustrating too. If her male colleagues were in shorts and a casual shirt, it wouldn't stand out. But as Florence is a woman, she has to be in revealing clothing. It's not professional. And I know people here have said if they had her figure they'd wear the same thing, etc, but that's not the point. I know I know, I shouldn't take it so seriously. It just feels so unprofessional and is in stark contrast to her male colleagues who are in uniforms and smart suits. Representation matters and I expect better from the BBC, that's all.
SoupDragon · 05/02/2021 11:11

The ones in suits are portrayed as stuffy and having a stick up their butt and the ones in uniforms aren't detectives. Detectives never wear uniforms.

Yes I am aware of that, that is why I said it is in stark contrast to her male colleagues who are in uniforms and smart suits. Professional attire, IE a suit, works for both sexes and is expected in those roles. Just not in DIP.
SoupDragon · 05/02/2021 18:11

Ruby wore a uniform, as did Florence before she was promoted to detective.

I suspect things in the Caribbean are somewhat different to, say, the
U.K. IME it's less formal anyway.

Poshjock · 05/02/2021 19:49

My theory is that there will be evidence (DNA or fingerprint) at the Catherine scene pointing to Richard Poole being there - although he is dead, just like Aiden. Cue flashbacks to his "involvement" with the real perpetrator and memories from those who knew him. I have nothing to offer on who it is but it is linked to Catherine and the Commissioner I think.

I like that theory!
grandmasterstitch · 05/02/2021 21:01

That kid is definitely the dead guys and Pasha knew it, that's what he wanted to talk to him about

grandmasterstitch · 05/02/2021 21:01

The wife is shady af

Elderflower14 · 05/02/2021 21:04

Now watching for the return of the Poole!!

mogtheexcellent · 05/02/2021 21:06

Cant get over how Camille looks now.

Elderflower14 · 05/02/2021 21:24

I don't think Camille looks any different!

mogtheexcellent · 05/02/2021 21:30

She looks more normal now. was very pale in the first station scene. probably bad make up!

grandmasterstitch · 05/02/2021 21:33

Not long left for D.I Poole to pop up. Camille under stress maybe?

PrincessScarlett · 05/02/2021 21:38

Does she really look that different? I thought she looked the same too.

Elderflower14 · 05/02/2021 21:39

Oh was that it???

CrochetOrBust · 05/02/2021 21:39

Well, that was disappointing if that’s it!

PrincessScarlett · 05/02/2021 21:43

Well as Richard is dead I guess it was never going to be a big comeback

HighHeelBoots · 05/02/2021 21:57

I really wanted Richard back properly. Some elaborate plot to fake his death so he could go undercover

Bloodypunkrockers · 05/02/2021 21:57

Camille looks the same to me

Less sullen and snarky than she used to be
