Please help me name this actor. Driving me bonkers.

Ok. I think he’s Scottish. Over 60. Balding but hair a sandy/ginger/blond sort of colour. Slim, sharp features (I think)
Similar age but not either Bill Paterson or Denis Lawson. I picture him as weary and maybe as an older uniformed police officer. 😩😩😩 Any ideas?

There’s a younger actor who’s not this one but has a similar look/plays similar parts. His name is Alex Macqueen

None of the above. I don’t think he’ll be a household name but I think if you saw his picture you’d all recognise him.

@friskybivalves, yes, older than Iain Glenn. Less rugged and more pompous clean shaven too.

If he's Scottish and the age you say it's likely he turned up in Taggart at some point. Might be worth looking at the cast list on IMDB and seeing if any faces jump out at you.
