Please help me name this actor. Driving me bonkers.

Ok. I think he’s Scottish. Over 60. Balding but hair a sandy/ginger/blond sort of colour. Slim, sharp features (I think)
Similar age but not either Bill Paterson or Denis Lawson. I picture him as weary and maybe as an older uniformed police officer. 😩😩😩 Any ideas?

If you have an idea of what program/s he could have been in can I suggest looking up these programs and then scrolling through the list of cast?

I've done it a few times and managed to find the right person, even if you think it was maybe morse, and it's not, often it will show you things other people have searched for similar to morse

Steven Mackintosh is younger and English but maybe fits the bill in appearance?

Michael Maloney? He's 63, IMDB entry is 149 long as an actor. I recognise him from Midsomer Murders and the episode of Death in Paradise I'm currently watching. Not Scottish though.
