They haven’t actually said it wasn’t Nicole Kidman so I suspect it will turn out to be her. She keeps visualising the murder scene but it could be flashbacks.

Another cracking episode!
Love how they are providing a murder motive for more characters this week.
So far:
Nicole - rage at Elena for the affair. Something in my head wonders if she too was having an affair with Elena though - could be that Elena was going to spill the beans to Hugh and/or to the school mums about it = social and professional disgrace etc.
Hugh - Elena was going to spill the beans to Nicole and make him lose Nicole and son.
Dad - extremely wealthy, knew there was a bit of trouble, gave Hugh £500k - could have discovered what was going on and tried to 'make it go away'.
Ekena's husband - rage at the affair - not sure if he knows the baby isn't his or not.
I may be overthinking!

I must’ve blinked when dad said why he gave Hugh 500k, does anyone remember?

My theory is in jeopardy. If it’s Kidman she’s being very thorough with her smokescreens.

Just had to ask DH, even though it was fab, my eyes involuntarily drooped part way through! Tired from a long walk earlier!
Ok so apparently dad gave Hugh the $500k because he'd said he was worried about covering the school fees.
That means dad knew there were money troubles, but not necessarily that he'd lost his job. Projecting a bit, but dad's apartment is insane and they are clearly old money - the car looked like a Maybach! So it's not a reach to think he might have the means to follow Hugh and discover what was going on...
We can't wait until next week!

Still not sure about the murderer but wonder if it's the son. Henry? Maybe he found out about Hugh's affair and went to try and confront Elena because he wanted to protect his mum and his parents' marriage but it all went horribly wrong.

I thought they mentioned in the first episode that her dad pays the school fees and they are $50k.

Did they? I'm so unobservant! Can't think why though as a NY top therapist and a top Oncologist would be earning $$$.
Maybe Hugh confessed he'd lost his job and the money was to cover the school fees plus living costs?
Interesting additional murder motive via Henry. He is being portrayed (understandably) as being angry and frustrated. Has he got in in him to kill, I don't want to think so! Surely not?!

Hello. Can I join in please because I'm hooked. No idea who the killer is though, could be any of them including the doctor at the hospital - he always seems cagey when she talks to him.

If the police had the cctv footage of her in the area, why hadn't they hauled her in to interview her about it? She went to them to get info and then they just casually showed the cctv of her.

Hi Waltzing! We thought the cops knew 'something' but were doing that routine where they hold back on revealing it in the hope that they might get a confession or information.
That CCTV moment made us wonder if Nicole was hurrying to Elena for a bit of a sesh...

I've suspected all episode it was Kidman. She was too quick to call the police when HG arrived at the beach house.
I think she thinks she's a super smart psychologist who will get away with it.

What I need help with is the whole HG Elenas affair. He claims she was dangerously infatuated with him, but he lost his job over it, then got her pregnant and continued shagging her. Err I don't think Elenas was that crazy...

Can't see it being Henry, no way a kid that age would have found out where she lived, then had the strength to kill her. And his desperate question to his dad "Did you kill her?"

No I don’t think it’s Henry either. He might be the one who figures it out though (don’t see how really, so far he’s a very pale character). Hugh’s story isn’t scanning at all, but he might just be exactly what the doctor friend said - full of himself and now telling himself it was Elena’s fault all along.

It’s too obvious now for it to be NK as that’s what they want you to think. Or Grandad. I’m going with initial guess of the blonde lawyer friend.

I also don’t really understand HG being sued for inappropriate behaviour when Elena obviously went on to have an affair and get pregnant by him. Who was doing the suing? Elena or the hospital?

Yea I noticed the look between lawyer friend and Hugh and got the impression she knows more than she's letting on. I also wondered if dad is lying about giving Hugh the money as he really wants NK to believe he is guilty and only told NK about it when she was starting to consider he might be innocent.
