Starts tomorrow night on Sky Atlantic with a “fresh” faced Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant. It looks good and I love glamorous New York 😃

Maybe Donald Sutherland organised the murder to protect his daughter. He looks very good for 85.

I think the blonde lawyer friend, maybe she was shagging grant and did it to get revenge, maybe the father had something to do with it, as a way to protect his daughter, but hitting someone round the head with a hammer seems more a crime of passion. So I think I’m going with the scorned female lawyer friend.

There is going to be a twist in it, it won’t be as simple as Kidman or grant did it, but it could have been Kidman, and she knew about the affair.

Kiefer is at least 6 inches shorter than his father, I just looked, 1.75m and 1.92m, quite unusual for DC to be that much shorter.

I also spotted Donna from West Wing in the group of women, she didn’t look much different.

We're watching! Really enjoying it and have just finished episode 2.
I love the fashion and NK's gorgeous hair. She has had a little work done, but still looks amazing for 50 odd. She's quite mesmerisingly elegant I think.

So, my bet is it won't be HG. It could be the blonde lady lawyer or one of the nasty school run mums?

Why would blonde lawyer not say anything to her close friend Grace about representing her husband in such a big case unless Hugh told Blonde Lawyer not to? How could he get away with not working for three months? That's all a bit of a stretch. Meant to be best friends and you don't mention to her that you know about his legal issues? And the woman who accuses him of harassment turns up at the same school? Not buying that!

I think Grace is involved, she was very shifty when the detectives first interviewed her and she was making a peanut butter sandwich. Very nervous and twitchy. Dump Hugh and get with that gorgeous detective instead, Grace.

I get why blonde lawyer didn't/couldn't say anything about being hired to advise/defend Hugh's case - it's because its privileged information. So she can't discuss it with anyone, even a friend. But she could have refused to represent him.
It's quite exciting to see how it will pan out! I'm dying to know who dunnit!

I think it's going to be Kidman. It fits with her "imagining" Elenas face just before she dies and her genuinely imagining seeing the child find the body - an unintentional event that she feels guilty about. She's framing her husband. It's all a bit "Who killed Roger Ackroyd". She's giving therapy to a couple in which one has been unfaithful too and keeps gazing at their hands and stuff, I think that's a clue that she is close to the idea of unfaithfulness. Her upset when Hugh can't be found might just be because she's angry her plan has failed and he has escaped. I think this is going to be "the twist", in other words a little disappointing. They might add more, like Kidman and Elena ALSO having an affair, and this would be even more disappointingly obvious but would fit with the Kidman/Grant marriage feeling a bit sexless and the gay couple in therapy would be another clue maybe.

I'm committing myself to this theory as of now and will be miffed if I'm wrong!

I think ultimately this is about women getting revenge on a cheating man, so it’s going to be one of the women in it. Kill the woman and frame grant.

Kidman was very quick to turn her husband in though. I mean no matter how pissed you are at him, declaring you’re terrified of him and immediately reporting him is quite extreme, you’d probably try to listen a bit more first, not report him when your kids standing there listening..

As said, I think this is about women getting revenge, so it’s either Kidman or the lawyer.

I am currently finding that I have such high expectations for a clever twist in these programs that I am constantly let down. I need to stop analysing it do much and go with the flow. Half the time the endings discussed on mumsnet are so

I enjoyed the second episode more than the first. I can't warm to NK's character but it might be more to do with how she looks - long, tangly hair and awful flowing clothes. I hope it'll turn out to be worth the watch as I've been let down on so many psychological thrillers in the past,

I watched both episodes over the weekend and really like it. Agree with Bluntness that I think blonde lawyer friend seems to be featured a lot so think there’s more to her role.

Also noticed Grace clocking the interaction and staring at the hands of the couple in therapy. But I wondered if she was sensing some controlling behaviour going on between the couple? So I’m wondering if that’s going to be relevant somehow?

I’m glad that she spoke about the fact that her and HG had sex when he got home from his emergency call-out. I thought it was odd that he would be feeling horny after losing one of his (child) patients but it’s even more weird that he’d want to have sex after killing someone. So maybe that points to it not being HG!!

Oh also noticed that there was a lot of close ups of Nicole’s rapid eye movements when she was supposed to be in shock and I reckon they did that solely because she couldn’t convey the expression with her frozen face! 🤦‍♀️🥴

I also thought that Grace's father is going to be implicated somehow. Maybe he found out about the affair etc and framed HG?

I think the killer is Kidman. She wasn't shown as going home after the party & she will (IMO) end up getting away with it. Grant will get the jail term!
