If you had to pick one, which would it be?

I'll start : F-R-I-E-N-D-S

The West Wing, always and forever. Watch the DVDs every year.

Have to give a nod to Game of Thrones. Compelling, spectacular production underpinned by love and family.

Friends is great comfort tv.

From a nostalgia point of view, Red Dwarf.

As an adult, BoJack Horseman.

Currently giving me the most joy: 9-1-1 & 9-1-1 Lone Star.

Dallas
To the Manor Born
Downton Abbey
(I must have a thing for grand houses!)
But I think Friends trumps all those

HeronLanyon · 22/10/2020 02:57

Breaking bad
Seinfeld
Sopranos
Curb your enthusiasm

Graphista · 22/10/2020 03:24

Friends - far and away my favourite can recite the script and even tell you which episode contains which lines.

Charmed (original of course) - very close 2nd to friends

ER
Bones

Quantum leap - which I can't bloody watch! Cos I think sky have the rights for it at the moment in the uk

sunnyday1976 · 22/10/2020 04:19

True Blood

exLtEveDallas · 22/10/2020 06:29

Buffy (of all time), closely followed by Lucifer (although I’m not convinced the huge wait for the current season was worth it)

But the longest running series that still keeps me interested it has to be NCIS. Even with all the character changes I’ve never lost my love for it.

Copperblack · 22/10/2020 06:32

How has no one said the American Office yet?

TanteRose · 22/10/2020 06:36

Six Feet Under

Branleuse · 22/10/2020 06:44

Prisoner,
Wentworth
Ally mcBeale

Jemenfouscompletement · 22/10/2020 06:48

Frasier

Weirdfan · 22/10/2020 10:38

Dinnerladies, it's a crying shame there aren't more than 16 episodes but I can watch them over and over and still laugh every time.

skelesheridan · 22/10/2020 10:46
@MawnyStannit ooh The Americans is a great shout. Such a fantastic programme.

@skelesheridan it's a panel show, sort of, but far superior. 5 comedians compete to complete "tasks". It has me crying with laughter. I genuinely thought I was going to go into labour at one point.
Thank you! I'll give it a go.

And a random one, for sheer enjoyment over many many hours of episodes that I have loved..

In younger days loved To the Manor Born and the Edge of Darkness and Northern Exposure

Six Feet Under
The Affair
Right now am mostly obsessed with Homeland- have just got season 8 to go once it comes on Netflix

chrislilleyswig · 22/10/2020 13:36

Of all time probably the Jennifer Ehle version of Pride and Prejudice

Also the Crow Road which has stuck in my mind although it's about 25 years since it was on.

Afternoonteaandicecream · 22/10/2020 13:58
